It's a FX-6300 it does what I need it for. If I weren't a poor piece of shit, I would have gone with an i5.
Thankfully, DX12 utilizes MOAR CORES. I never buy nVidia though. Fuck those cumlords.
As you can see here, I have an r9 290 with a fucking rocket ship for a fan.
It usually doesn't go above 40% fan but when it does, it could probably lift my case off the ground if I didn't have it nailed down.

>>53569617

>>
>>53574359
It's an HD 5670. Still going strong after all these years.
Which is quite a feat considering how technologically backwards it is (40nm VLIW, low-mid tier, 65 TDP).

And the cooler is my biggest pride of the build. It's a CPU cooler salvaged from some prebuilt.
I had to drill screw-holes myself but I was dead-set on a 80mm fan - and - sweet success!
Not only is the fan inaudible (overshadowed by CPU fan at all times) and doesn't change pitch with load, but I was also able to plug it right into the PSU, saving precious ~1.2W off PCI-E for GPU OC stability.
>>
>>53574690
I would like to see more people modifying their graphics card coolers.
But the angle is the PCIe card makes it much more of a trouble.

But I wouldn't mind the option for a 4 slot cooler. Which would have supreme cooling, and low noise; even at 70*C.

But it seems hard these days. The rating for my 980 is 165W or something. Which is ~ 100W more than my i7 package is rated for.
>>
>>53574593
>>53574291

Way to void your PSU's warranty you big dummy. The paintjob looks weird with its brush strokes effect (camera flash makes it look a hundred times worse)

Use sandpaper to sand down the paint pen, do a coat of primer, then a couple coats of matte black. Done. A clear coat isn't really necessary.

It's a little nicer with the side cover on, but I take your point.

I'm pretty happy with it in terms of trying to stuff decent performance into an asspain of a case. It makes no sense but I've enjoyed the process.

They usually look okay (not great in my opinion but people have different tastes) but yours looks ridiculous with the rad on top. Apart from that they're overpriced and stupid cases and you'd have to be an idiot to buy one.

>>

The fan in my PSU doesn't have enough static pressure to properly pull through the air filter on the bottom, it's fine how it is, low dust intake.

More fans=more airflow, and there is little turbulence in my airflow so its fine. I'm surprised you didn't bitch about the cable management, thats my real problem.

Seasonic, EVGA or Superflower.
The Seasonic X series is generally pretty well regarded, and has an excellent warranty to boot.
The EVGA P2 series is pretty fantastic, and AFAIK is based off of a Seasonic design.
Superflower is one of the best manufacturers for PSUs, but if you're in the US, they're a bit hard to get. The Golden Green series from them is pretty great.

You're an obnoxious idiot and you need to go away. The 6700k IS better than the 5960x for games. Games don't use more than 8 threads at the absolute most, which a 4 core i7 can handle, and graphics cards don't need more than 8 PCIE 3.0 lanes. Skylake has a higher IPC, and is clocked higher. There is NO TECHNICAL REASON that a Haswell-E chip should outperform it.
