Shit planning edition? I'm right at home.

>just moved up from ITX, GFX is already sold, will upgrade mobo + cooler and double the ram to 16GB soon.
>>
>>53560452
Out of curiosity, is there a particular reason you changed to mATX?

I got bored of my small, loud and hot PC and after breaking up in the summer I had money to spend on my PC again, and all the room in the world.

The case has nicer air flow and room for SLI/CF again should I decide to go bonkers.

I had a full tower with two 23cm fans before going ITX, pic related is my old ITX build.
>>
>>53560217
I didn't know that MSI made a Z97 mobo with an mSATA port
>>
>>53560567
That ITX build looked really nice. I currently have a regular ATX setup, but almost definitely will not be sticking with it for my next build.

I recently assembled an ITX box for my family, and the small footprint is fantastic. I think I may go with that in the future.
>>
>>53560621

Sure, looks nice and the footprint has advantages. Still you have to realize what you're getting in to: performance equals loudness.

Seems like mATX is the right choice for me at the moment.
>>
>>53560656
See I don't have a volume noise issue with my NCase. Despite it does get a little warm. I will be doing a custom loop soon, though.

Planning on getting sleeved cables, but having a hard time deciding on the colors / arrangement. Was gonna do something like the pic, but I want to use patterned cable along with solid colors. Not too sure how it'd look.
>>
>>53561865
I might get these soon
>>
>>53561865
Do your own sleeved cables.
Seriously
It's one of those things that really does reward patience and hard work by the time you're finished with the project.

Just don't do what I did and not buy a pack-up set of 24-pin and CPU cables just in case you fudge up.

I was considering doing my own sleeving, mainly beacuse it was really hard finding a site that does sleeving for my specific power supply. It'd be my first time sleeving, so I'm kinda worried about messing up. Extensions don't seem too hard, but I feel like there's a bit more to working with the actual cables. Looking up pinouts, then actually getting the tools and the sleeving, dunno if I can be bothered with it, messing up my PSU would suck. Does sound kinda fun though, so I'm still thinking about it.

>>53562268
Not bad. R5 is a great case to work in.

I made a thread about this a few days ago, but I think it's worth bringing up again. Corsiar water coolers suck ass. I had my h80 for almost 2 years when it busted and literally started spewing water directly onto my CPU. There was a mess of wet thermal paste all over my ram and motherboard, leaving both beyond repair. The leak sprung right where the copper piece of the water block meets the plastic, and ruined over $250 in parts. I can't get a response from corsair's support, and I have no money to buy a new PC. I've noticed a lot of you memes like to use them, and I just throught I'd share

I have a very very old asetek 240mm AIO from way back when, thing is well over its 50k manufacturer suggested usage,

I am so afraid of upgrading/changing it out for one of these cheap ass modern AIOs.

Tax money coming, I may need to buy a custom loop to avoid the stress of trusting it.

Is that a micro atx mobo in an ATX case? Why??? Also, if you can afford a new MSI videocard, why not spend $30 on a CPU cooler?
