I just bought these /g/.
How bad did I fuck up?
You bought a headphones
>>53555922
You bought Reddit: The Heaphones
Kill yourself.
>>53556185
>things I do not like are Reddit and/or normie
kill yourself
Do you like them? If you do, then you did great. If not, return them. Simple.
It depends on how much you paid. If you bought them for around $100, you did great. If you bought them for $150, you paid too much. I wouldn't pay more than $120 for them.
That being said, I have a pair of M40X's I enjoy. They weren't comfortable for the first two months, but after they were stretched a little I can wear them for hours. The only downsides are that they get hot and I can't stand to wear them with my glasses.
>>53556218
I like em so far. I've never owned a pair of decent headphones and dont know much about audio so I'm not sure what Im looking for.
>>53556349
I got them at my place of work for 89 bucks.
I've got the same. /g/ doesn't like them because they are popular and only mediocre.
>>53557124
>dont know much about audio so I'm not sure what Im looking for
Do you like the sound they produce? Only thing that matters desu senpai
>>53557124
>>53555922
Holy fuck OP, are you me? I just bought a pair of M50x in white for $80 because of a workplace discount. Had to order them tho and wont have em till Monday so I am wondering how big of a meme they are.
>>53557411
Lol depends on where you work :P
I too had to order mine in because we didn't carry them normally. So far they dont seem very meme to me. they are comfy as far as I can tell and come with a nice variety of cables.
>>53557411
They're a huge meme. I just unloaded mine for $90 to some sucker. Thank god they are gone
>>53557438
>>53557437
>>53557411
They good headphones, but then again, whether you like them or not is purely subjective.
They have a nice bass, but the downside is that they're closed-back, meaning you're going to be fucking oblivious to the world.
>>53556185
they are just as good as pic related, nigger.
I found pic related more comfy, that's why I got them.
They are good, but contrarians will claim otherwise because they got so popular. Every measurable quantity is top-notch for the price you pay. The earpads can be uncomfy at first but they will mold to your ear in no time. Other than mediocre comfortability I have had no problems with mine.
Like >>53557486 said, they're very comparable.
the DT770's are supposed to have a slightly better overall sound and a better sound stage, but they aren't as portable as the M50x's.
>Bought M50x's for £130
JUST
>>53557468
>that's a downside
>>53557530
The problem with DT770's is that there's so many versions of the same damn headphones that you don't know whether you're getting the 'good' version or not that may or may not require an amp, or even worse, counterfeit or older revisions.
I seriously looked into these, but got so turned off by the overwhelming choices that I just got another pair of HD558's.
>tfw I just bought some this morning as well
Top fucking kek. The hive mind is real. I considered the SHP9500 (the true redditphones) but I need the isolation since I'll use them at the office
>>53557550
For many people, it is.
Like hell am I going to wear these home alone, with my back turned against the door. I've already had several people sneak up on me, heaven forbid anyone trying to rob or kill me.
>>53556349
at the time i bought them, the m50 and the m50x were both on sale, the m50 being less than 100 bucks. Amazon sent me the m50x instead.
i love amazon
>>53557550
it can be a downside, especially when you spend most of your time outside. i find myself half-wearing them on my ears because they isolate like no one's business. I kinda wish i bought some open back headphones
Anyone got brainwavz hm5 pads on theirs M50X? Thinking of getting some.
>>53557468
Another upside to these headphones is that with a small amount of technical knowledge and patience, they will always be fixable. I bought a pair of M50s' 6 years ago for $60 (family wholesale discount). When my roommate tripped on the cable which bent the 3.5mm plug to an unusable state, it was stupidly easy to fix them. Take off the pads, undo some screws, solder in a 3.5mm socket and now I have a pair of M50x's.
One recommendation I have for these, is get some Beyerdynamic EDT 250 velour pads. The pleather is just way too sweaty.
>>53557579
Yeah that's another thing, I enjoy good sounding headphones but I don't have a clue re: which ohmage would be best for my situation.
Personally i like the mids and highs but the sub isnt there. Any similar sounding headphones with shakimg bass?

I work for a marketing company and one of our account managers were doing some ad campaign that AT had something to do with. Since the account manager is a smoking hot 22 y/o half jap girl she gets us a lot of free or heavily discounted shit on a regular basis
What would be the next headphone to get after having one of those for 3 years
>>53558274
almost any other headphone is a step up
>>53558313
Ok I guess I'll go pick up some skull candy headphones smartass
I have the ATH m50's and really like em.
>>53558329
what part of almost any didnt you understand, edgelord?
My girlfriend just sent me a pair of the current generation Beats solos.
My headphones broke and she had a boxed pair from when she bought a computer for school.
I have never owned "expensive" headphones because I always just used apple earbuds.
What am I getting into??
>>53558903
