Is it normal for GPU temps to rise 3-4 degrees when in closed case instead of open?
Reminder that the top fan mounts can be used for intakes if you got sone garbage flow like OP does.

you should close unecessary vents with tape and only opt for a front to rear fan setup.
Op here. I have nzxt s340 and 4 fans - 2 stock and 2 bequiet 140mm in front, so pretty standard setup
But without side panels and no fans my gpu runs 3-4c cooler. Wat do?
what's a cheap case with great airflow?

My case has 2 top exhaust fans and I'm planning on orienting my tower cpu cooler to point "up" to exhaust air UP instead of out the REAR fan slot.

You mean the case's top fans pull air down into the case? Why would this be efficient?
Also my top fan area has no mesh filter for dust so I don't think it would help much at least in that regard.

Natural convection isn't as strong as you think it is. A case fan will easily overpower rising hot air. Your cooler probably isn't getting as air as it could get because you blow it out before it can hit the cooler.
