Fishy you say?

7970 is useless, look what year it is, aslo way too expersive for that, a new one is under 200 bucks. If it was 7990's I'd get two.

Charge your phone, OP

Thats what i was thinking op btw

I will or maybe ill forget and do it later

Judging from the bulk box (not consumer packaging) maybe it's just an OEM who found some old cards while taking stock.
>>
>>53542714
These were ordered on some corporate discount on refurb models from a tech components website. He's making like $20 off each one.

The 7970 is fucking great.
>>
>>53542984
I mean i have a 750 ti currently so might just say fuck it and buy one
>>
>>53542984
I had one of these and it was a fucking beast
>>
Just ask if you can test it out. I just bought a 8GB 290x for $200 on craigslist.
>>
>>53542984
The R9 380 is a almost a 7970 dipshit, the 7970 is outdated and the 380 is a budget card.
>>
>>53543145
Got the same card for 150eur from a sellout (brand new) of a broke shop a few weeks ago. The guys didn't know the prices, kek.
>>
>>53543157
380 performance for $100 still isn't a bad deal.
>>
These were the go to cards for litecoin miners but they were shit. Most had to RMA'ed. That took ages. I would guess legit.
>>
>>53543221
7970 were for the leftovers. The 7950s had the best price / performance and the 290/x had your raw power.
>>
The only thing "outdated" about the 7970 is the production date and the power draw. It's still an incredible card and if Crossfired will pump out a tremendous amount of processing power. 1 is likely enough to nearly max most 1080p games and 2 will definitely do the trick.

I'd go for it if you're in need of a card, op. But they are likely from someone's *coin farm and have thousands of house of runtime.

your right. I just looked at the card didn't read the 7970 bit
>>
>>53543219
100$ on a refurb card witch might die after a hour of use? Also the 380 might be budget but it has better driver support.
>>
>>53543296
>>53543219
kek the 380 is like 160 bucks

Receiving stolen goods is illegal. Whether you are ignorant to this fact or not.

>>
>>53543323

Same, reference 7950s that I flashed the 7970 firmware to. Once I go beyond 1080p I'll probably need a little more oomph.
>>
>>53542714

OP, It was probably a bitcoin mining card. Although why he'd wait this long to sell is a mystery. GPU mining went out like a year and a half ago.

Anyways, that's still a good card, same exact thing as an R9 280X. I have a pair of 290's I got for $360 after the mining crash.

Jump on it dude, from what I've seen mining doesn't hurt much, my cards have been rock solid for over a year.
>>
>>53544468
Bitcoin mining is what fucks up your GPU, any other crypto currency, no.
>>
>>53543157

380 is mid range, not budget.
>>
>>53542732
In the US it is.
>>
>>53544524

Cryptcoin mining doesn't fuck up your GPU assuming they cooled it properly. It's rapidly changing load and voltages that do. The only thing that might give out is fan bearings, which is pretty trivial to replace.

Had my 2 mining cards in my main rig since about August 2014. Reference R9 290's at that. They're load under load but aside from that they're great, at 97th percentile in Firestrike

>no lowball offers
why are Americans so bad at haggling?
>>
>>53544716
They can call it what they want, but a 200$ card is budget.

A manufacturer refurbished product is guaranteed to work and even more so than a brand new product.
