I'M DONE
I'M DONE WITH THIS BULLSHIT

It's so bad. Why the fuck is Windows 10 so awful? I wasn't fond of Linux when I was using it but it has to be better than this shit.

I'm genuinely confused how there is so little competition for operating systems. How does OSX and Windows hold such a monopoly on them?
>>
It's so sad that lincucks shill for free.

Besides the spying, which is done under the hood and can be disabled if you value privacy, what the fuck else is wrong with 10?

>runs faster
>looks nicer
>crashes less, has less bugs
>some UI tweaks like not having to verify every time you send something to the recycle bin
>DirectX 12 if you're a gamer, and DirectX 11.1 already improves performance in many AAA games, which windows 7 doesn't have
>will be the latest supported

Oh, you don't like updating your OS? Them why did you update to Windows 10? Retard

Then what?
By the end of its life cycle it will be just as bloated and slow as all other wangblows versions were when they reached the end of their life cycle.
>>
>>53539275
>and can be disabled if you value privacy,
and have it automatically reactivated every time it does an update?
if you install a fresh win7 it has 218 updates. so you have to assume that win10 will do about 200 "optimizations" of your "personalisation" in the next couple years

If you value you're privacy, you can use one of the many privacy enabling apps available online. Safer Networking, a company that has been making privacy protecting software for Windows for at least 15 years, has Spybot Anti Beacon, which checks everything every time you boot up your PC.
>>

If I was going to never pirate, be 100% legitimate - I would stay on Linux 24/7 but considering my habits just fuck it - there's just so much software on windows that you can pirate and automate everything you do.

You know you can write an shell script - that automatically runs after ever restart and checks if shit got enabled back? Including re-enabled services, group policies, fire-wall rules, hosts and so on... you just have to invest like 30 minutes or less depends on how slow you are to put togheter such a script - most of the hard part was already done by others:

Here a collection of scripts for inspiration:
https://github.com/W4RH4WK/Debloat-Windows-10

Here is my list of hosts to block:
http://pastebin.com/DiT9BSUW

You should also make a firewall rule for each - write a power-shell script for that to minimize work.

You shouldn't have to do all of that at all.

The problem with MS is that they constantly want the OS to get in the way, so that you're reminded you're using windows.

An OS should simply be a stepping stone to whatever you want to do with your computer. It shouldn't try to play front stage. People don't use their computers to use Windows, they use it do whatever they want, but MS can't understand that.

Or I could just use Windows 7.
>>
>>53540270
>just manually block all 1000 of them and the new ones they are adding every update
>>
>>53540420
You don't have to block servers trough which you receive updates tho, or server which resolve connection or other utilities - just block the ones which Microsoft uses to receive from you usage data.

But you're just another dumb memer, if you were genuinely curious you would've blocked everything, disabled all telemetry and tracking stuff - then closely inspected packets of what your internet sends away for few hours, different days and see that there's no communication... - if there is any you will shortly find using google that it's just a service - if you disable the service, no longer you see a connection.
>>
>>53540420
Also you don't have to manually do it - it's actually face roll use ssh or telenet you can literally add hundreds of entries in a minute.

Also are you aware thatsome routers use linux kernel right or you can add a custom firmware with linux - the bigger the flash rom the better.
>>

Don't be fooled people. This is Pajeets new tactic.

>>
>>53540566
It works - I don't understand what you want, and I'm not actually defending any operating system here.

I pirated windows 10 alongside every single proprietary software, and I use them to the maximum potential they have.

>>53539783

It works against you if you're a normie have every single spy feature ON. And have a behavior under computer which proves you're a big time consumer and you're likely to buy shit and invest money - such a sign is buying the os and most of it software.. then yes be sure Microsoft would want data from you because you're more valuable than others and they can make a profit selling all that.

But when you're a dick, you pirate everything and you have little to no private data on your computer - then Microsoft doesn't give a flying fuck about you.

I don't normally like to post opinions, especially negative ones, on the front page. In this case, I can't resist, as this bastardization of Windows makes me quite angry. Having used every version of Microsoft's operating systems since 1988 (MS-DOS 5.0), this is the first time I truly believe that Microsoft has lost its way. To put it bluntly, Windows 10 is a mish-mash of interfaces, and in some cases borderline deceptive options, mainly to serve Microsoft's dubious ambitions in the mobile device arena, rather than consumers and businesses. It will only serve to further confuse and alienate the average PC user, and hasten the PC's demise. I've used Windows 10 as my daily OS since the Preview back in January 2015, and I can honestly say it seems like one step forward, four steps back when compared to Windows 7.

Good question OP. I'm copying everything off it right now so I can wipe this garbage off my hard drive and reinstall 7. I'm not sure if this is just me but I've had NON stop issues with Adobe products since I installed it. These range from Flash completely refusing my input unless I'm focused OFF the window and then I click into it. Also randomly it'll stop letting me drag lines and only like me put dots everywhere clicking and dragging never works.I'm amazed that the little bugs I encountered running a hackintosh are nothing compared to what I've had to deal with getting Windows up and running. I'm honestly thinking of returning to OSX at this point, I'm installing 7 to see if it works better.

For anyone worried about Win 10 botnet, just don't use it as your main OS. So long as you have two Graphics cards (even if one is onboard) and a quad-core or better processor, you can game using a VM without any notable performance reduction.
Or maybe you could run Win 10 within Win 10 using dual monitors for split-screen pc gaming. (I think, I don't know how well QEMU works on Windows).

Hardware support on Windows is 100%. In Linux you can find your laptop unusable. And in best cases, drivers can be are a complete shit, like GPU drivers.

Using Xorg in 2016 is like using cassettes and wathing VHS films in 2316.

A lot of good software, not only games, works only in windows.

and like a hundred more reasons...

>>53552549
>yurifag shilling for Win10
I thought your disgusting kind couldn't get any worse.
>>
>how there is so little competition for operating systems. How does OSX and Windows hold such a monopoly on them

Operating systems are very expensive to make as they cost a lot of time. Proprietary OS's cost money, other operating systems cost time which equates to money. Plus the expertise needed to bring all of the elements of an operating system together means a team effort and that is hard to find, a good team.

Simple as that
>>
I think I understand the windows 10 hate after using it for a few months.

The cons are easy
>data mining
>annoying gui
>the effort I needed to go though to get the fucking details pane on the bottom of the screen where it is expected to be
>the fact that for some unknown reason my wireless card drivers crash for 0 reason

But you know it has some pros I guess
>smaller footprint
>runs better on my 5 yo hardware then 7
>fixed strange outlandish issues that I had in 7 because of os misconfiguration

Even though it has pros it is just annoying to use. I think the ui is downright ugly in places, the fact my new "business" laptop came with some bullshit about candy crush saga on it.

Oh yeah and shit like policy manager doesn't come stock. That shits me right off.

The only reason I use windows at this point is because every issue I encounter somebody else has fixed and I am lazy as fuck.

Drooling retard reporting in, I heard in a
/v/
thread just now that even if you turn off all the sliders, Windows 10 will still do some of the shit it says you're turning off in the main menu, and that you have to turn off some background stuff with third party software to get it to normal.
