I almost never need to mount isos but on the off chance that I do, I use Virtual Clone Drive or whatever it's called.
Linux: Here's the contents of my saved text file in case I ever need to remember how2 into iso without a gui.
#make-iso-of-cd
dd if=/dev/cdrom of=cd.iso
#make-iso-of-directory
mkisofs -o /tmp/cd.iso /home/user/directory
#mount-an-iso
mkdir /mnt/iso
mount -o loop -t iso9660 filename.iso /mnt/iso
$ mount -o loop /path/2/.iso /media/mountpoint
WinCDEmu
OSX El Capitan
mount -o loop
Just a script with commands similar to ^
