Thoughts on Racket?

What's racket?
>>53529278
I don't trust Racket. I think the whole thing might be just a part of some guy's scheme.
>>53529331
Lol.
>>53529331
you mean it's a racket
>>53529331
This, I'd like some clojure on the subject before I start using it.
>>53529278
isn't it an educational language?
pretty nice. dr racket is one of the only IDEs I use.
>>53529278
Really don't like it, I am using it only because a have to learn it on college, at least, for now, it is easy
uc Berkeley uses it for SICP

Well afaik it's mostly used and developed by professors so maybe yes. Still I'd recommend you check it out because it's fun and easy to use and has excellent documentation. Also DrRacket is pretty good
I first encountered it in my first semester of cs and fell in love with it
>>53535780
funny you mention it.
>>53529278
It's said to be a language to create DSLs.
It's bad enough to work with other peoples shitty programming languages, so I don't need more of that.
>>53535808
probably going to NEU for cs this September - I believe they use it there educationally so I'll definitely learn it
>>53535808
>so maybe yes
Dropped. There still has to come out a good programming language of academia.
