I connected my TV to my PC so that I could use the PC from my bed, but they are different sizes.

My monitor is 24 inch and TV is 32 inch.

The TV is way off, in terms of size of all the faunts and all of that.
How can I fix it so that it can be the same as the monitor?

change the resolution of the higher ppi display down so they're the same ppi

for example;
1920x1080, 24" is 92 ppi
1920x1080, 32" is 68 ppi

to make them the same you'll need to change the 24" monitor to around 1424x800 (68 ppi)

inb4 "my monitor can't into that resolution"
make it

Sorry to be off topic. But how noticble is the deceased ppi for 27" 1920x1080 monitors to a 24 inch?
>>
>>53527232
the idea is to make the elements (the effective pixel size) the same between the two
so the 24" should look about the same as the 27" (though not exactly if you look up close, as the logical pixels won't line up with the physical ones, making the image a bit blurrier)

Adjust your DPI. Changing your resolution will make it look like shit.

That being said, you probably won't be able to raise your dpi enough to make your 32 inch usable from too far away.
>>
>>53527285
i'm pretty sure you can't change the os's dpi setting on a per-display basis
and changing the resolution to suit won't make the 24" look any worse than the 32" (in fact, they will look about the same.. which is the point)
>>
Nevermind, I figured it out.

Same here.
Have 28" 1920x1200 (hdmi) primary screen + a cloned 42" 1920x1080 (dvi) tv hooked up to my nvidia card.
If i turn on the tv, both images get sort of zoomed and steched a bit.
Was never able to fix this, it is annoying as hell.
On Linux at least my primary screen is displayed correct in clone mode.

>>53527274
So its still a better idea to buy a good 24 " ips then 27
>>
>>53527427
the dpi would be higher on the 24" if they're the same resolution

My TV is 1080p 60hz but I don't understand why it acts terribly when set to that resolution.

At 1360 x 768 it has no problem at all, and in fact is regular size.

I just want to be able to clone the screen but have it not look like complete shit.
>>
>>53528304
i'm not really sure what you mean by "acts terribly" and "is regular size"
but it could be that your tv isn't 1080p, but rather "1080p capable/ready", which is a marketing term for "will take a 1080p input, but will be scaled down to the panels' actual resolution"
>>
>>53527327
hey asshole..
>>
>>53528413
Nope, TV is actually 1080p.

And what I mean is that it looks like dog shit, and is does not fit the screen.
>>
>>53528468
on closer inspection, it looks like the taskbar is cut off, which indicates the tv is set to overscan the image
there should be a setting on the tv to disable overscan, first check on the remote for a scale/fit button and cycle through them

Do I set it to screen fit? I have tried this, but it is still too tiny and the quality is horried at best.
