Not insane to completely remove usb and headphone jack imo. Wireless charging my phone for the last 2.5 years. Wifi AC is faster than usb 2.0. Mhl is not really used and screen and audio casting is done via dlna and Google Chrome audio/ video. So yeah phones could well be thinner
