While on the subject of Ubuntu, I have a question. Does Ubuntu Minimal have the same vulnerabilities as Arch? I was considering for my next setup to install Ubuntu Minimal since I like Ubuntu but hate a lot of the preinstalled apps that come with it.

Vulnerabilities? I didn't say it had vulns, I said it wasn't as secure as ubuntu. Arch is great, not for the elitist neckbeards who post screenfetches/scrots of their tiling window manager, use whatever you feel comfortable with but installing Arch is an excellent exercise, you'll learn a lot and the AUR is awesome. But if you wanna use Ubuntu that's fine, ubuntu minimal i wasn't even aware was a thing but yeah should be fine, unity is a buggy pile of shit but if you enjoy it then I guess to each their own.
