And this is why Linux will never be popular. Why spend days troubleshooting when there is something that works so much better? Linux is not an alternative to windows. A lot of people don't have time to Google something an entire day to get the is to do the simplist tasks.

maybe if the forum you're using is 4chan
On any dedicated Linux distro forum people are literally nothing but nice + helpful. Some might get frustrated if you ask really basic stuff when it's well documented but even then they're polite. And at the very least if I Google what my issue is I'm likely to get a post with a solution on the front page. Not so when I had a win 10 driver issue.

Dude, not being able to figure out how ".run files run" or "how to install steam" on linux is not torvald's fault.

It is true that there is a learning curve.
This is why normies hate linux. Linux is NOT meant for mass consumers. (at the moment, and for quite a while)

I remember you posting these criteria on /g/ a few days ago. It means you are inexperienced. Which essentially means calling "no solutions" is not what you should do.

Once you get past the learning curve you are good to go. Learning a few things on the process is a by-product.

> Linux users are the cancer killing Linux.
So you guys are this desperate for not having any convincing argument regarding the software itself or even how the developers treats their users and instead you need to use ad-hominems and sjw-like tactics?

Congratulations! You worked it out the dumb way that Linux is a timesink OS for NEETs who crave a sense of accomplishment.

If any linux needs much less maintenance than windows in my own experience though.

for NEETs
I know a lot of people that are not neets or even computer savvy and uses linux without problems.

>who crave a sense of accomplishment.
Installing or using linux is not hard, even my parents uses it (xubuntu), i sincerely don't know how some people like you can think that the people who uses linux does it because is the "hard mode".

ok so let people to test both by themselves and decide. For me at least the answer is clear: most package managers are just much better than the way windows manages the updates. In fact IFAIK windows doesn't even has any kind of dependency resolution or has any control on what is installed in the system and just checks recursively, that's why it takes a lot to check for updates. If someone knows well how the windows update system actually works please share a link with us.
