You can find out so much info about a company and its architecture by simply looking at the people employed and their skill set (LinkedIn), also look at job ads. You can also find a lot of personal info about people by scouring their online presence. I actually do this for fun. I have hundreds of files on random people I have investigated, from info about their family, work, pets, online profiles, etc. I basically pretend I am a detective for fun and see what I can dig up.

Man, I remember back in the early 00s before social media, when I did this and people looked at me like a hacker wizard.
All I did was google peoples nicknames, and saved all info I found that they themselves posted; then looked up any associated emails, if I found any more related usernames then those too, as long as the chain lasted.
Sometimes I got lucky and found a forum they posted on that had a known exploit, that allowed to get their passwords, and then I could read all their emails too (everyone uses the same password everywhere).
A day or two worth of research and you could find out everything about a person online. Fifteen years ago, to get all this info was fucking magic. Today, it's a facebook search.
