hey /g should i get a used moto x pure or a used note 4 for about the same price?
Motorola easy choice
>>53487369
any reasons except for the fact that the note 4 is made by samsung?
just get the g4, it's superior
you should consider the iphone 4
>>53487355
Moto X. The Moto X is such a gorgeous phone while the features of the S Pen aren't really used besides the first five days you have it. Also
>Touch Wizz
>No Custom ROM with pen support to my knowledge
>Moto X has no bull shit bloat
Moto X Style
>>53487554
what about the cameras, i can't find any comparison videos
>>53487585
If you want a GOOD camera, then just buy a fucking camera, any phone will give you an okayish looking photo.
>>53487355
My girlfriend has the moto and she's dragged that thing through hell and back and all it's got are a few scratches around the sides, i fucking reccommend it, i would buy one if i didn't have a z5c
>>53487585
DXOmark gave them exactly the same score:

Note the Style is what the Pure is called outside the US
>buying used phones

I have the Pure. Do I love it? No. Screen is okay, but I would have preferred OLED. SOT is maybe 4-5 hours. The exterior design isn't amazing. I got it mainly because it checked enough of the other boxes I cared about: SD slot, decent camera, and total band support for US carriers. The last one is something you don't find in a lot of phones, but makes it easy if you ever want to switch carriers without having to change your phone.
>>53489024
so the things you dont like are an "okay" screen and average or even above average screen on time
>>53489147
Well, if we're comparing to the Note 4, from everything I've read both are better compared to the Pure.
>>53487355
>>53487369
The easy choice here is the note 4 if you're gonna root, almost as fast CPU and faster gpu. The screen is ALOT better with a removable back and battery. Battery life is also a lot better. Pic related.
Get the Note 4.
It is way freaking better.
>>53489397
how is it better
>>53489705
Basically all the specs.
And it is just a great phone in general.
>>53487355
Moto X Pure is what I've got and I recommend it.
>No Amoled but screen still looks great
>Pretty much stock Android
>Motorola makes it super easy to unlock the bootloader and root
>21MP camera
Removable battery would be nice but its life is fine for me. I use a battery saving app with root and I've been off the charger for 12 hours now, still have 61% left.
If you live in Burgerland and are okay with not being able to customize it, Best Buy has the base 16GB model for $100 less than direct from Moto; $50 less for the 32GB model

>>53489829
i think i will go with the moto x, i found one for 270$ used, thats cheaper than the prices of the used note 4
>>53489990
>Not spending $30 more for brand new with warranty (if you never root it)
There's a good chance a used one will have the original owner's name engraved on the back btw since that's free with moto maker. Might want to check if that matters at all to you.
>>53490073
i can't order it in my country and im going to root it anyway
it doesn't have a name engraved
>>53490105
Ah. btw just checked Moto's website and turns out it's the same price ($299 for the 16GB model), and you can customize it. Just thought I'd mention.
>>53490163
i know, but i'm pretty sure that they don't send their phones to Serbia
>>53490203
Well then, enjoy the Moto. I've never used a Note 4 so can't compare it but the Pure is definitely a great phone. I think it will still be a solid phone for the next 2+ years.
>>53490367
how is the camera? do you have any like really good shots?
>>53490399
Here's an indoor pick with some nice colors I happened to have. I'll snap an outdoor pic real quick, brb
My Note 4 battery degraded greatly, I've been using it heavily since December 2014, so i would check the battery before buying a used one
also the screen is great, but no android marshmallow
the Moto will have the latest updates
>>53490456
that's pretty good
how are the low light shots? i've heard the moto x struggles really hard in low light
>>53490601
Yeah it's not terrible I think but not as good as the major flagships. I took some photos outside. The weather is shit right now so this should give you a worst case daylight scenario. I also took some low light indoor pics with and without flash. I also uploaded the first pic I put up and Mega's them since 4Chan couldn't handle the original size and Imgur compressed them on me.

Avira gives me an alert on that one. Don't download this, anon
>>53490876
kek it's just some jpegs relax
>>53490815
>>53490863
they're pretty good altho the indoor one is pretty grainy and noisy
>>53490876
they're just images
Definitely get the Moto X. I got mine in October and I've never been happier with a phone.
>carrier unlocked
>easy bootloader unlock
>easy root
>tons of aftermarket dev support
>Decent hardware
>Nice big screen
>One of the best front facing cameras
>Beautiful aesthetic design
>Stock android with god tier Moto features
Just about the only think that isn't amazing with this phone is the camera. It definitely isn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's great either. I'll take a picture in a second from my phone and reply to this post so you can see.
>>53490949
Here's the picture. I cropped it because the file was too large.
>>53491019
well that's actually really good
>>53490924
Yeah it does struggle in low light. Not the worst I've seen but not great. In good lighting it's up there with the best I think. One cool feature of the camera that I have yet to test is the video image stabilization. This video here shows it off very well compared to a Nexus 5x

>>53491574

>>53492104
>1998+18
>still seeing ads
Why are you not using adblock?
>>53487355
>buying hardware used
not even once
>>53492148
it's on my phone only, i don't think that theres adblock for the youtube app
None. I'm using a Moto X Play I got free with my monthly plan.
I'm pretty impressed, for a $450 phone. I had the option to get a free Galaxy S5 but the screen on this thing was better and it was Android 6.0 compatible. Huge improvement over my iShit 4S.
Would recommend/10
>>53492874
but the moto x style is better in every way except the battery
>>53492859
If you're rooted get xposed and then install the module youtube adaway
>>53492912
Well that one didn't come free with my phone company so I can't complain. I'm happy with this one, I only paid like 30 bucks that day and walked out with a new phone.
>>53489222
wow this is pathetic, is this really what android users think is good battery life? lmao
