>4chan still doesn't enforce HTTPS
?
>>53482327
I said it doesn't enforce it. If you delete the S you'll be on the HTTP site without any encryption.
>>53482334
>>53482344
Are you fucking retarded or something? That's not what enforcing is. Now fuck off.
>>53482353
Why do you care so much? You're probably a neet anyways
>>53482360
I'm not. And why don't you care? Are you a faggot who faps to trap porn? Probably.
>using https on 4chan
enjoy your slow loading images.
also, no one cares about your shitposts on 4chan, why do you feel the need to encrypt the connection? fuck off to /pol/ dullard.
>>53482394
Fuck off NSA.
>>53482375
Traps>Neets
>>53482394
what kind of shitty internet and or computer do you have that has a performance penalty on SSL?
>>53482283
This, holy shit. Worst thing is I'm on a phone stuck using Clover v1 (inb4 use something else, yea no)
And Clover can't into https. I'm also in the UK police state. This is like playing Russian Roulette.
>>53482283
HTTPSEverywhere
>>53482789
Newsflash: no one cares about you nearly enough to go though your internet traffic
>not just using the mobile site
there's literally no difference for you. it's all placebo
>implying that's a bad thing
http://www.radicalresearch.co.uk/lab/hstssupercookies
Can someone explain why I even *need* to use https with 4chan?
I already do use it, but now I think about it, fucking why?
Does clover and 4chanx use https?
Who cares, I'm not doing anything illegal.
>>53482375
jeez guy, you're pretty salty.
have you ever considers that nobody is forcing you to use this site. feel free to leave anytime
Who cares?
Are you hiding something?
>>53482954
>accidentally open cp
>fed knock on your door next min
>>53482954
Well. The only person that knows what board and thread you're reading is yourself and the 4chan staff. Same with individual posts.
Its pretty useless though as 4chan is public.
>>53482884
That what you think.
>>53483317
>accidentally
>>53483482
But the DNS is not encrypted so anyone sniffing your traffic could see which threads you're in anyway.
>>53483760
DNS will only tell them that you've been visiting 4chan.org, not which threads you've been looking at. But then you already knew that you sneaky baiter.
>>53482394
>>53482631
I have no idea why is this happening, but using SSL is significantly worse for images and webms. I tried it on various machines and various networks. It's doesn't necessary slow down downloading speed, but 'choke' for dozens of seconds from time to time. It's not really problem with browser since wget chokes as well and it happens on both Windows and Arch. Browsing /wsg/ is pain on HTTPS.

Ever heard of a downgrade attack?
>>53482631
it's 4chan's shitty implementation of https that causes the slow loading images, it has nothing to do with your connection speed. fucking retard
>>53483482
>Well. The only person that knows what board and thread you're reading is yourself and the 4chan staff. Same with individual posts.
And everything 4chan links to, including Google and thereby the NSA.
>>53484456
huh? I've never had any issues, and i use several other addons as well
>>53482927
Yes, it is a bad thing.
The page you're referring to points out a mistake Apple made, along with the assumption that some users don't clear their cache.
If Apple doesn't enable you properly clear your cache, that's on them. If Apple does enable you to, but you don't do so anyway, then that's on you.
>>53482375
relax, nobody want steal your memes. you don't need to encrypt them.

Why does it matter if it uses HTTPS or not? You're not logging into anything, so it's not like it protects against anything.
>>53482283
>not at least using HTTPS everywhere so such a thing isn't a problem
>not preferably using HTTP nowhere and using Tor to access any website that doesn't offer HTTPS
It's like you want every 3 letter agency in the US to have access to the last year of your browsing history.

It enforces HTTPS when posting/logging in to your pass/etc which is what actually matters.
Why do you care, anyway? If privacy really matters to you, you should already have HTTPS Everywhere installed.
>>53490096
See >>53487001, the NSA is opening up their databases to all federal agencies for use in investigating any crime, which significantly increases the chance of corrupt officials abusing it even if there was no crime committed. With HTTPS all that gets put in to the NSA's databases is the general websites that you visit. Without HTTPS they store complete copies of every bit of data that goes over the Internet for a few days in the xkeyscore database and the metadata (which includes everything in the HTTP header that would be encrypted with HTTPS, such as the exact pages and files you're accessing) for a whole year in the Marina database. Sure you may not care if people at the NSA look at your data, but how about corrupt officials a lot closer to home?

He's right
I still use HTTPN which is probably abandoned over HTTPSE which I've tried twice
