I don't know a single person who has ever seriously considered a Shield.
I have the original shield tablet (not K1, but not housefire) and its pretty good, rarely use it for gaming though. Its a great shitposting device.

The original shield tablet is basically the same. The only difference is the new one is shittier because it doesn't include a charger, USB cable, or the DirectStylus 2.

Wait until the nVidia Shield X1 is released, it has the new Tegra X1 chip.
Definetly gonna buy an X1 when it comes out, probably the best tablet out there for emulation.
I just want an 8 inch tablet with stylus support, hd screen, and support for microsd car expansion. I mainly do reading and comic watching, would shield be good?
$200 seems like a good price.

There won't be a Shield Tegra X1, the next-gen Tegra with Pascal GPU built on TSMC 16nm FF+ will be the next Shield Tablet

I have a Nexus 9 and despite using similar internals, it has a bizarre lack of support for nVidia applications and certain games, that are confirmed to work on the Shield.
Apparently the Pixel C has the exact same issues.

Great tablet, bastard to root though, but that's probably because I'm running the LTE model. It's great for emulating, the android versions of GTA work brilliant at max settings. Also the controller is pretty great too, but I would recommend cheaper alternatives
