You fuckers lied to me !!! There is a noticeable difference between high resolution audio and normal audio.

>I Installed wasapi audio for winamp instead of the direct audio plugin
>now I get perfect bit stream audio
>high resolution music sounds better now
>even normal audio sounds better

.m4a files don't play now, should I convert them to flac or search for a more compatible wasapi plugin ? I'm using maiko plugin because is kawaii
>>
>having audio not in FLAC

Lel, enjoy your bit rate degradation over time, faglord.
>>
>lossy to flac
Nah senpai
>>
>m4a don't play
werks for me, use foobar or musicbee
>>
>>53475714
you should convert them to MP3

MP3 is good at preserving high resolution peak dynamics and transharmonic soundscapes

It does poorly on microtransients but since it was M4A to begin with those are mostly all gone already

There are lossless .m4a files, fampai

>>53475731

97% of my library is lossless except for some ultra uncommon albums that I only found in mp3.

Fuck, I dont want to take the fag.cd interview and they are not in rutracker

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOo0o3Glz_8

This is a 2 song CD, 60 euros... only avaible in amazon germany
>>
>>53475896
It's not on fag.cd either way
>>
>>53475950
It's not real
>>
>>53475967

Fug... I don't want to spent 60 dollars +30 dollars in taxes + shipping for a 2 tracks CD... and one is a remix. Maybe is in Itunes germany or something like that for a better price

Can you search for this artist ? Please

I have never heard of that plugin, anon. You should try YASAPI.
http://out-yasapi.sourceforge.net/

Worked for me before I switched to foobar. now I use ASIO instead so I can have multiple audio playing.

You may also want to try using another M4A plugin.

Holy shit audiophiles are delusional beyond helping

>Avoid DirectSound because “muh mixer”
>Migrate to “muh bit-perfect” APIs to satisfy their autism
>Complain about not being able to hear multiple things at the same time
>Enable a mixer in the new API

Like seriously what the fuck is wrong with you people. Do you want a goddamned software mixer in your rendering chain or not?

Lol this,

>also

I'm testing yasapi and I cant play m4a either, fuck apple !
>>
>>53476601
Meanwhile on Linux with mpv and PulseAudio everything just works (format-wise) and the quality is perfect.
>>
>>53476628

That sounds nice

Well organized player with native out of the box perfect bit stream output for windows, when ?

>

After a triple blind test peer reviewed test of yasapi vs maiko I conclude that maiko sounds 15% better than yet another wasapi

Both can get perfect bit stream audio but maiko just need a few configurations to sound excellent in my dac meanwhile yasapi needs more configurations. And also the name maiko sounds a lot more kawaii

You're deluding yourself if you honestly think there exists such a thing as ‘bit perfect’ audio playback.

That would imply perfect electronics existing. And besides, your ears are the greatest source of distortion, so unless you hook it up directly to your brain there's not much you can do about it.

Even babies can't hear noise at -110 dbFS.

>Not having perfect hearing till 22 Khz
Define ‘perfect’. Do you hear sounds at 22 kHz just as loud as sounds at 1 kHz?

I also installed media monkey and the interface is not very intuitive either

The last time I only tested the <18 Khz tones so I don't know

It's impossible for humans to benefit from "high-resolution audio".

There's no counter argument. Anyone who has a working understanding of sampling theory (hell, even wave theory) KNOWS for a FACT that high-resolution audio is SNAKE OIL.

In fact, the playback fidelity of formats like 24/192 is LOWER than that of 16/44.1/48, while taking up about six times the space. All you're doing is blasting your ears with a bunch of ultrasonic noise ("ultra" meaning "you can't fucking hear it").
