Why use google? So they can collect all your data? Become paranoid and use duckduckgo.

Google.

what data? How many times I searched for a salmon patty recipe? who gives a shit?
I don't care if they know all the various lewd shit I've searched for either.
If duckduckgo could search worth a shit I'd use it.

The problem with duckduckgo is that lack of bubbling means you get shitty search results.
I used duckduckgo for about 2-3 years, but I found myself re-searching on google so I could find actually relevant results so often that by now I've muscle memoried myself into just prefixing everything with !g.

Its gotten better. Even a year ago to now it's noticeably better. I very rarely have to research something on Google and usually when I do even google gets somewhat poor results.
The duckduckgo instant answers are also much nicer than Google's

The only thing I prefer DuckDuckGo for is if I'm trying to find the official web page of some tool or project or whatever.
DuckDuckGo is biased towards displaying official sites at the top and labeling them. Google is biased towards giving me some shitty chip.de link or whatever based on my IP address.

I'm stuck here with my surface 2 rt.
And I actually use it hilariously often.
