Why there are no 4:3 notebooks anymore? I kinda get 16:9 on 15" laptops, but on 12-13 inch models, which are the most popular these days, it makes zero sense

The horizontal space seems rather limiting to work with. Say I can display 6 word pages with my laptop now but with 4:3 it'd be only 4.

It's not really limiting at all, and portability is the more important factor here anyway.
4:3 is good for laptops because most web pages have width < 1200px and most people use a stacking wm
comfortable to carry and better vertical px for reading

4:3 is nice and all but I got so used to working with 2 windows side by side that I prefer 16:10
