Another option is a chinese phone or an lg g2 if you're not looking to spend much. Just about any phone on the market can do what you said though so I'd recommend going with the cheapest as long as it has minimum 1GB ram and micro sd slot.

cheapest one I can think of that's not horribly outdated is the doogee x5.
Ulephone has some pretty nice ones around the $100 mark too, or if you want serious battery life there's the ulephone power with a 6000mAh battery.
I've also heard xiaomi has some really nice good quality phones, but they're around the $300 mark iirc.
Also don't forget to check if the bands are compatible with your carrier.

After years of dealing with a shitty out-of-date LG with 1 GB internal memory and still running jelly bean, I finally have a decent income and can upgrade to a flagship.
My options are pretty open, but right now I'm leaning toward the 6p, now that it's just gone on sale.
They seem to have the best bang/buck for flagships and I really like the idea of getting a phone that's going to be supported for several years. It seems like you just get hugely diminishing returns for more expensive phones. Am I correct in saying this?
If I do decide on the 6p, is it worth getting a phone case or is the build quality good enough as is?

This is the case I'm currently using.
Feels nice and grippy, but also a little cheap and plastic. I'm using a g3 so I chose this to not have a big gap for the back buttons and it's pretty nice so far.
I also had a black one but after dropping my phone the case broke. If you want something like this, order 2 just in case. 1 aud each. Very worth it.

Tempered glass is important I think. I've dropped my phone plenty and it's still perfectly fine. I got 2 off eBay for $2.50, bear in mind though, those cheap Chinese ones aren't as good quality. I got one on my Nexus 5 that had fingerprint marks underneath on the sticky side. A dispute usually fixes it.
Another suggestion is a power bank in case if emergencies. I got mine on sale from dick smity for $5, charges my g3 up by 60-70% and has passthrough charging.
A cheap eBay one that'll give you 50% would be decent. Or an 18650 enclosure with your own 3400mAh Panasonic cell would be better.

Spigen cases are nice, but just remember, adding thickness to a phone already so large might be unpleasant. As long as the back of the case is easy to grip though it should be fine. I hold my g3 with 3 fingers because I'm a manlet so I'm sure you'll be fine with a similar grip on the 6p.
I love my flip phone but I especially like that my cell phone plan is cheaper and if I get a smart phone and try to activate a device with them (Verizon) they will know it's a smart phone and force me onto a data plan is there anyway around this? This is one thing stopping me from finally having a phone of this decade.
Audio-fag here. Can anyone with a s7 or edge give me an opinion on the audio quality, specifically the dac/amp. I currently have an M8 and I find it to be quite nice in comparison to my fiio e10. Is the Samsung anywhere near that level or should I just wait for g5 / m10 or maybe get the v10
