Why don't laptop manufacturers center the touchpad?
Because it's aligned with the keyboard excluding numpad
because laptops have something called form>function

No it isn't, I just measured

Pham...
>>53432989
keyboard center is between G and H
so with the touchpad there you dont rest the right wrist on it
>>53432956
but they do, you know your laptop is not the only laptop design in the world right?
Because laptops are a combination of both YOLO and SWAG

Muh ergonomics
I'm right hand dominant, and have the same laptop in OP's pic because dell's payment plan was the only way I could get a laptop.
The way it is allows me to comfortable rest my right arm on the laptop rather than having it partially off the keyboard so, whatever.
Works good for me.

Why?
apple does :^)
>>53432974
No, look at its position in relation to the space bar. This is a trackpad centered on the keyboard but not on the case
>>53433428
>>53432956
For right handed people, having the touchpad slightly to the left is much more ergonomic and gives your right hand more room especially when typing

woah there m8, you need to get new hardware
Here's the real answer
It's aligned with F and J, the resting keys for your index fingers if you know touchtyping like a proper human being
>>53433497
This is a new rig, and I use a regular mouse. I was just curious why the shit isn't centered

yfw my hands rest on wasd
Tech companies run by crusty old men and engineers who have no social intelligence. So they don't know or care about consumers' needs.

So that your hand isn't resting on the touchpad while you're typing
>>53432956
Because normals said so
Because arm position and rotation around the shoulder axis
