So I've been thinking of getting a tablet and I wanted to ask /g/ if they have any recommendations becuase I checked the wiki and it had nothing on tablet reccomendations.
I bought an ASUS transformer tablet
It has Win 10 and it's not that fast but its ok

Practically unusable with an HDD, but when you upgrade to an SSD, it becomes a little workhorse. The 8GB of RAM really helps with heavy, multi-tabbed browsing, too.

I've gone one further and bought a coreM tablet to use more as a portable computer, the tablet and pen functions just seems like a pleasant plus as well as giving it a decent resolution for cheap instead of laptop 13x7 memes.
In short it's a project which is rarely going to be used as an actual tablet.

The one I got isn't really that portable though, the coreM really uses enough power and the stock battery is a piece of shit. But the keyboard case acts as a dock with extra usb ports, the usb3otg and video out allow for excessive functionality as well. Combined with a pcie ssd it's perfectly functional as a main use machine outside of work and games.
Have an x205t for real laptop needs that my work bought me. There are some stonking atom devices out there right now for cheap which are offering up to and over 10 hours screen on time.

There's really not much use for a tablet unless you wanna browse the net and watch videos and even then most of them are a far cry from superseding laptops at the moment.

I have a Surface Pro 3 for no other reason than to play OSU!. It seems like it could be fairly competent for other uses but I don't know for sure.
Sort of unrelated but do all tablets have an upper limit for the type of MicroSD cards that can be used or is this more of a recommendation?
My tablet says it can use up to 32GB MicroSD cards but I'm looking to get a 64GB or higher.

I've never had a problem but it depends on the controller. My N900 worked quite happily with a 128GB microSD despite them not existing when it was manufactured. They only guarantee it up to that capacity because that's what they test it with.

My Samsung note 10.1 broke(great tablet except for last update which fucked the system). Now I want to upgrade to a surface pro 4 i5 8gb/ram. I'm pretty much sure I will like it because I'm always looking for a Cintiq experience.
