Install xposed and youtube background playback module.
>>
>>53409324
I use Firefox on Android too. It used to be horrible 2 years ago but now it's freaking awesome.

You guys should try Icecat for Android. It's FireFox without the spyware and bloat.

Oh, and NewPipe for YouTube. I don't think it supports playlists, though. :(
>>
>>53413776
OGYoutube seems to support background playback. Not sure if it supports playlists, still need to check.
>>
>>53413341
You can actually use those modules and enable background playback in the youtube app as well.

>>53413776
>newpipe
Disgusting. you have to know the name of the video you want to watch before you enter the app. It's only useful if you to download videos. and even then it only has minimal options for that
>>
>>53413818
Anything that lacks the Ads and tracking... Might give it a go, thanks for the recomendation.

>>53413857
I really like NewPipe, it works really well... But you're right, it's very minimalist right now. It works fantastically for playing videos linked from other apps (Like Clover).
>>
>>53413776
Ill take a look, thanks. I thought Icecat was only for GNU/Linux though.
>>
>>53413896
https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gnuzilla/38.6.0/

It's FireFox, so I think the linker they use to build just automatically spits out an Android version. Might be kinda buggy, but the latest one is working great for me right now. Even adds a few extra security features to the settings.

I just installed it, but it seems to not work with mobile sites and it is quite slow compared to firefox.

I disabled LibreJS and it fixed the speed issue, but mobile sites still wont load.

How is optional telemetry where you even get to see what's shared spyware?

Do you know what the word spyware even means?
>>
>>53414111
Yeah, I think I had that issue, too... I dunno if you can fix it, but I enjoy it working that way. Mess with the settings a whole bunch and see if anything happens?

If you can't bear/fix it, just go back to Firefox I guess. Up to personal preference. Sorry, dude. :(

>>53414167
That's just Safari with a skin.

Its all good, I would prefer to use Icecat but the loading of mobile sites will be a make or break for me. Thanks for the suggestion anyways though.
>>
>>53414256
Pretty sure it's the user agent string it uses. Try getting an addon that changes it (Like uBlock Origin), and use a Safari Mobile one or something.

I'm gonna try that now, actually.

That will probably work, HTML5 test recognizes it as win7 firefox.

Just did the User Agent thing. Works fine. My DPI settings are pretty large, but I just got on Twitter with mobile Chrome's user script, and it loaded the mobile site.
>>
>>53414568
Did you do it with uBlock?
>>
>>53414568
*User agent

By the way, UBlock Origin doesn't have a User Agent changer, I was thinking of UMatrix. There are plenty of assons that can do this, though.
>>
>>53414734
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/custom-user-agent-string/?src=search

But I had to plug in an external keyboard to paste my user agent into it. :P
>>
>>53414762
Works perfectly, thanks.
