In basically all technological advanced nations, the ratio of women to men is around 1:1.

Why then there are so many more men working in technology then women? Why don't we bring more girls to STEM courses?

Because why should we? There's no real reason to actively try and seek change in this regard. If a woman wants to get into sciency stuff, then great let her! Evidently, however, less women are interested in persuing sciency/techy careers. Idiots are so quick to point this shit towards some unsubstantiated cause like LOL SEXISM or WOMEN DON'T FEEL ITS THEIR PLACE TO HAVE SUCH INTERESTS.

If grills want to do tech and science they can. No one is trying to stop them. well except for you and the cancer like you OP.

keep telling women that stem fields aren't inviting places for women and then be in shock as to why women aren't in them.

>Because why should we?

Because we'd have more people doing useful stuff instead of the careers & degrees they otherwise pursue.

See the ludicrious ammount of sexism in this board and all other tech forums and classrooms when there's a post about a female programmer or game developer. The prejudice is real. It can be very tiring to have your skills questioned and mocked constantly just for being a girl.

STEM in general implies an interest in left brained, logical activities that for most people have little, no, or a negative effect on their emotions. Engineers and developers work long hours alone in front of a computer stressing over what to most people, even with full understanding, would seem inconsequentially small.

First understand why that tiny minority of western boys enjoy STEM.

For those who enjoy STEM, they typically come from a background that found ways to incorporate these components into play early in life, namely by being wealthy enough to come from a family with computers. Early on, gaming was seen as a boys thing but now many young girls play. Either through the puzzle nature of the games or learning to script the games or even learning to use a console to run the games (msdos was my childhood), these kids become climatised to code early on and thus have a much greater chance of enjoying it later.

Thus the double bell curve of mostly programming classes, but many other STEM classes as well.

But getting mocked is the tech culture. Honestly you get mocked, insulted even more harshly if you are a man. You are just expected to put up with it, and people who put up with it end up at nice places or develop psychological disorders.

Two words: vag cream. Women in tech get really dry vag from the tech, but vag cream changes all that. If you see a woman in tech struggling as her vag's arid condition makes her cry brave tears, you must purchase her vag cream or give her a coupon for vag cream.

Do nothing. They are capable to bringing themselves into STEM.

I'm the second poster and I'm literally a woman.

you are cancer. If you keep telling girls that tech and science are misogynistic and hate women then don't be fucking surprised that women aren't interested in joining.

literally a woman as opposed to actually a woman?
