I used Windows in my old job, as I made software for Windows Server.

It's shit. Visual Studio, however, is quite nice with the proper plugins and stuff.

The only reason to use a trip is when it's a ask and tell type thing and people are pretending to be the OP.

managing all clients from a single login. we're in the process of integrating all local domains to azure ad and then we'll be able to manage local domain accounts from o365. once thats done, we can start deploying office through scripts, manage computers and servers from there all kinds of shit.

Op do you have anything to actually care about? You're the admin at your office or something? Why is that special?
>>
>>53400562
>And NTFS, seriously why is it still a thing?
I see retards saying this about Windows and Mac file systems all the time, yet they are unable to produce a single reason why file systems are relevant to the end user.

Every Windows or OS X user can store they files with no problem whatsoever. How it that an issue, you retard?

Ridiculous fragmentation. Why I have to spend like 7+ hours defragging my hard drive still boggles my mind.
>>
>>53400590
sure, get a copy of the one click installer. use a mak key and run the microsoft office toolkit. must be version 2.5.0.0 or higher to work with 2013/2016

>>53400715
>Why I have to spend like 7+ hours defragging my hard drive still boggles my mind.
You don't. The driver optimization service does it automatically for you, you can just leave it be. If you've used any defrag program to manually defrag since vista, you're a retard who doesn't know its own computer.

>>53400725
>it's bad because the FSF said so didn't you know?
That settles it, 10/10.

By the way, since you just mentioned the one-click installer and the toolkit, I could use use some counterfeit office for myself. But I hate those installers that install a load of shit I don't need, when I literally only need word, excel and powerpoint. Where do I get an untouched 2013 installer that allows me to choose only the few programs I want to install?
>>
>>53400836
>driver optimization service
Sorry, I meant DRIVE optimization service.
>>
>>53400836
>You don't.
Then how come my drive was fucking 70% fragmented?
>>
>>53400863
That's either bullshit, because the defrag service runs in the background and defrags everything that needs to be defragged, or you have the service manually stopped or something like that, which is retarded.
Or, maybe, it's simply because you have large files with large fragments that simply don't need to be defragged, although that's way less likely to happen than you just disabling the auto defrag or being lying right now.
>>
>>53400126
in this case not really but when the reverse engineering dude makes a thread his trip comes in handy to filter all the shit stains that try to impersonate him and give bad advice
>>
>>53400836
afaik they stopped releasing installers that let you choose the programs. the minimal installer though is business premium. easiers thing though is to just download the trail for 2016 pro and use the toolkit.

i was wrong in this post >>53400725 you want toolkit 2.6

Everyone but government employees use pirated versions of office, the reason I prefer latex is it is easier and more efficient.
If I were to get stuck, I can find a solution just as fast as I would in word or powerpoint.

NTFS was written in a time where disks were spinning.
It is terrible for that purpose as it shits files all over the place.
This is partially fixed by ssds.

But it doesn't have any modern features.
You can't make snapshots, pool drives or have data protection.

It is not as bad as HFS which is why all macs are slow as fuck, but it is still pretty bad.

its a part of the MSP suite (see: legal and voluntary RAT) that we use. it's available to the public so if you really did some digging im sure you could find it. this particular thing i have open is a custom built stripped down VNC. makes it super fast.

>>53401409
>Everyone but government employees use pirated versions of office
not even remotely true.
>I prefer latex is it is easier and more efficient
ok, then latex is great for you and thats great. some of our clients cannot even use libre office.
>What is so special about the partner thing
you have 50 users, each user needs an email, a local domain account, vpn access and a office license. you tie your vpn into LDAP and integrate your domain into azure and you can make all that happen in one window on the admin console. if you have 50 clients, you tie them all in to your partner console and you can manage all of them from just your login. thats the cool part. plus i can write powershell scripts and run them from my desktop to run me reports, audits manage users or any other dam thing. could i build this on BSD or linux? im sure. do i have a team of 1000s of developers and a web server with 99.9% uptime? nope.
>>
>>53401606

ill try to revive this thread with an AMA but if theres no interest then ill stop posting and retire this trip.

I work for a mid sized MSP with 500+ endpoints that we manage. Im the managed services admin. that means i script things, do preventative maintenance, develop new systems for us to use, onboard/offboard clients and users, deploy and manage AV/backups. im usually the point investigator/damage control for security breaches and network infections (cryptolocker et al).

pretty much i can answer any question in the stupid questions threads and im the one you're worried about seeing your porn when you're at work or college. im the one in the dark backroom that blocks all P2P traffic and im the one who resets your keyfob when you loose it. i also work support desk sometimes so im also the one who asks you "have you tried rebooting".

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Microsoft Office Professional Tech School of Bangalore, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on cryptolocker, and I have over 300 endpoints. I am trained in preventative maintenance and I’m the top keyfob resetter in the entire MSP. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network students across the MSDNAA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can legally and voluntarily install a RAT on your computer in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare Office 360 suite. Not only am I extensively trained in PowerShell, but I have access to the entire LDAP and I will use it to its full extent to deploy and manage AV/backups, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.
