Hey /g/,
Just got myself two xeons e7 2890v2 's ( 15 core / 30 threads, 37.5mb l3 at 2.8ghz).
Guy i bought them from thought they were dead. They work fine.
What do you think they are worth?
One of them is an ES.

Still, seems like you won the lottery.
just wondering why you bought these if the guy reported them as dead

Just buy a dual CPU motherboard stick em in and use it as a seebox/gayman machine.
Op here, so anyone know how much i could sell them?
how do you know they're good?

Well, there are a lot of listing like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-ES-E7-4890-V2-QFJY-2-8GHz-15-Core-HT-XEON-CPU-/371567450281?hash=item56832558a9:g:aEwAAOSwA4dWJQ9r
Since you've got at least one ES CPU id list it at $500 and see if you get any biters.

Ran them in a single socket board with stress test. But i dont need 30 cores, so i was thinking of selling to get the new gpus when they come out or something.

$500 each since equivalent listings are ~$500.
Now, you better be DAMN sure that only one of them is an ES.
If you sell an ES CPU At "retail/genuine" prices and the buyer finds out you will probably have a return situation on your hands or need to partially refund the buyer.
Also, youll need to have actually used and verified the CPU's working state and also have stressed all cores. Could be that half the cores are screwed or something.
