I'm 95% close to completing my purhcase of this card on Amazon to go with my i5 6600 build. Tell me why I shouldn't go through with it, /g/. It costs £175.
>>53376139
I would rather buy an MSI one. Not sure how thats cost

>i5 6600 build
why not a 6600K or even a 4690K? People are still using their ancient 2500K's now without bottlenecks because they're able to overclock.
>>53376175
The 6600 was cheap and I don't plan (need) to overclock.
>>53376175
This.
The 6600 has only 5-7% more perfomance than the 4690k. And its not OC-able.
Just buy a 4690k Cheaper, OC it to 4.0 Ghz and you will have a better perfoming CPU with less money
>>53376165
I bought my MSI armor 2x 4GB 380 for around CAD$250, equivalent to £130. I bet things are just more expensive in £ land though.
>>53376189
0.5 Ghz OC is totally fine even on Stock cooler. Its worth it
>>53376207
Neat, those are the white ones right?
Didn't knew there is 4GB version of it tho.
>>53376189
I'm the opposite, I got the 4690K since it was the one on sale. ~$50 difference from the i3-4160.
I don't overclock yet, but it just means I can stick with the CPU for like 3-4 years, only needing to upgrade my GPU for maxing out on 4K.

It's more expensive than a 6600. 6600 was £155 while a 4690k currently is £181.
I should have said earlier that the build is already set up and in use currently. It just doesn't have a graphics card.

get Nitro 390 /g/ approved GPU

use savings to get the 6600k
for AMD I would only buy PCS+ from powercolor or anything sapphire.
>>53376234
Ohhh. Im still saying to get the MSI 380. It shouldn't be that more expensive

Sales person didn't even know either until closer look, thought I wanted the 2GB. Name is misleading.

Ah I remember searching for 380 Video Cards in last august and this wasn't in the list. Perhaps MSI added later.
I ended up with a Gigabyte 4GB one cuz it only needs a single 8 pin. So far I'm happy with it
>>53376257
Why though?
>>53376243
I'm not going to buy another CPU when I don't need to. The 6600 is fine as it is.
>>53376299
6600 is fine, running it with a Strix 390 8gb.
If its cheap and has no bad rep go with the PC 380
/g/ is NOT your personal tech support team or personal consumer review site.

I never overclocked my i5 2500k... it it's so stupidly fast that I still don't need to, even in 2016.
>>53376294
Better cooling and overall quality. Those brands have Ati inside their genes.
