Take note Nvidia users of /g/, their latest driver is causing BSoD.

The silence is deafening.
Yes, but this happened before, and the cause is not the driver, its the Geforce Experience program, it´s their unified installer the one who cause the BSOD when updating. The problem aggravates if you are using Geforce Experience Beta.
If yo have problem try to update only the driver alone without Gf.Exp., but be sure to uninstall G.E. before that. If problem persist, delete all and install driver with the option "clean install".

And /g/ loves to shitpost about how "impossible" to install AMD drivers are.
Also. Did nVidia not restrict driver updates to download via the GeForce Experience only? Or are those only Game"ready" drivers?

> Did nVidia not restrict driver updates to download via the GeForce Experience only? Or are those only Game"ready" drivers?
They announced they were going to do so but so far it seems that have quietly forgotten about it.
>>53365307
Didnt know about it until now, but as >>53365307 says they may be "forgotting" it.
For now you can update thru GE or using the usual mode, that meaning, not installing ever in your life the shitty and stupid GE.
haha
works on my machine
Do not believe the lies of AMD shills, this is a false flag operation.
Nvidia is really going down without breaks, I know what I´m going to say belongs to fucking /v/ but even this "game ready" driver for Ashes of Singularity, among others, is still bullshit for DX12, no Async Compute, same shitty and low benchmarks.
So Nvidia tell lies about DX12
Tell lies about Async Compute
Tell lies about Pascal
Tell lies about Maxwell
Tell lies about woodscrews
Tell lies about...... well, its your turn /g/

i'd rather take the occasional nvidia driver that i don't have to install over the amd drivers that are terrible 100% of the time.
>>53365554
amd is going to be dead in a few years. thank god, maybe we'll finally get a competent vendor b in here.
>>53365098
good thing I never update my drivers xd
>>53365261
I updated using the Geforce Experience Beta without problems on my GTX 970.
Still used DDU and went back to 362.00 though just in case.
ITT:
>AMD releases shit drivers consistently that cause all sorts of problems including BSODs
>Business as usual
>NVidia releases a shit driver once every blue moon
>STOP THE MOTHERFUCKING PRESSES NVIDIA IS FINISHED AND BANKRUPT
>>53367833
Also that update installed a Vulkan folder in my Pc which DDU didn't removed, I'm gonna leave it there since it just seems to be some sort of demo to showcase the plugins and features or something.
>Latest update from Nvidia on the GeForce forum relating to this driver and it's problems:
"Status update: No resolution yet. We are treating this as a top priority. We have finally managed to repro the issue internally and engineers are debugging the repro system as I type. The large majority of systems don't have this issue, but we are definitely aware of it's seriousness and are trying to isolate it as quickly as we can."
They are pretty fast to be honest sempaitachi senpai desu

SHUT IT DOWN

Actually Reddit loves AMD from what I've seen on /g/.
>installing GFE
>upgrading drivers just for the sake of it
is like everyone it's just stupid or something
