I was thinking to myself. If ISP's start giving you ads while browsing, a simple adblock would take care of it right?
But what if they wise up and straight up inject the ads into your packets to trick your browser into thinking they're from the IP you requested.
What the fuck would you do then?!

Move out of america

This could happen anywhere though, I'm a UKcuck anyway
>>

you should read more about TCP, MD5, otf packet rewrites at scale and just networking in general before coming up with imagnitive ideas on this space, anon

Not in Brazil, not now at least
>>
>>53357701
Yeah now that I think about it https will have your html encrypted, right?
Still, what if they think of some way to do it anyway.
>>
>>53357724
Like they only encrypt the important parts of the data and the isp's pay hosts to leave blank spots for them to fill with ads
>>
>>53357742
so an RFC is submitted for HTTP/Ad.0 and adopted worldwide?

>>53357759
Companies like youtube might get desperate enough, they've been loosing money from the start
>>
>>53357742
>>53357759
btw, it should be obvious, but I can think of a million reasons why this would never fly
>>
>>53357768
You mean companies like Google? YouTube is not a company.
>>
>>53357780
Yeah I know, youtube is owned by Google but youtube hasn't been profitable for Google ever.
If the get desperate enough something like this, as unlikely as it is has a slight chance of happening
>>
>>53357788
It's hard to imagine that YT isn't profitable.
>>
>>53357827
I don't think they pocket a lot of the ad revenue if any. And after all its only ad revenue. I'm pretty sure even after youtube red they're losing money
>>
Use HTTPS, that's what you'd do.
>>

>losing money
Are you reading what you're writing? Jesus, even if 50% of the people blocked ads, they would still make MAD cash, plus they own the video publishing market. How stupid can you be?
>>
>>53358477
It's like saying Facebook is losing money, dungus.

open pic relate and point with your finger on where you think your ISP will put ads.
now put that same finger in your butthole and delete this thread using your other hand.
