Sup /g/. Let's talk about perpetual motion machines and free energy generators. Imbalanced system, Induction expulsion, exchange force pulse system, anything really. I know it's not about computers, but technology is more than just computers, and wouldn't it be neat if you could power that computer or smartphone of yours forever, without needing to power or recharge it?

Has anyone done their own experiments with one? Are there any out there that interest you?

Sad, I thought this board would be safe from anti-PM shills. Guess not.

The vital component of a perpetual motion machine is a flywheel made from gold that you got from a leprechaun. It also has to be lubricated with unicorn tears.

Or on the off-case you actually want to gain a better understanding of the world, study an entry level Thermodynamics text.

this is the result of /pol/ bringing in all the cranks and loonies from across the internet. you start with birthers, then hear about how the jews run the world, then you get illuminati/nwo crazies, then reptilians, then idiots with a third-grade science education telling us that we can power the world for free and that edison is trying to keep the knowledge secret and ge and bp are out to kill you like the guy who built a car that runs on water.

fuck /pol/

Is a river a perpetual motion machine and free energy generator?
>>
>>53353215
not enough magnets
>>
>>53353215
No. After a few thousand or million years, erosion will cause the location of the river to shift and drain away from your generator.
>>
>>53350083
>free energy generators
You mean magic and fairy tales right?
>>
I never understood why people worship the laws of thermodynamics as absolute and infallible. Throughout the history, many physical theories we've considered infallible have turned out to be wrong.
>>
>>53353882
Because they want to be right on the internet and that somehow makes them feel better about themselves. Galileo was ridiculed by the church and tesla was labeled a mad scientist by other scientists.
>>
>>53353882
>>53354252

>geniuses that have made tangible discoveries that improve my life

vs

>conspiracy theorists that learned about magnets from Wikipedia

Galileo and Tesla were both respected scientists in their day. Galileo was ridiculed because he insulted the papacy and Tesla was destroyed because he was a competitor to Edison.
>>
>>53354420
These geniuses started with an idea that questioned long held beliefs.

Check out Muammer Yildiz and his motor. Its patented.
>>
>>53354845
it's a basic design and claim, that has nothing to do with how the whole device operates. so many patents look like they were scribbled on a napkin and sent in.

Because so far they have not been proven to be false.
Jesus christ, please go inform the people working on W7X how futile their work is and to go study magnets instead

If you can prove them wrong in some way then you should submit your paper and collect your nobel prize.

>none of those devices can stand up to the rigors of science
>they are only good enough to fool the layman
come on guys, maybe next you will be telling me about water powered cars too
>>
>>53354845
Both of them started with well-understood ideas that were well within the mainstream. Galileo's theory were based off of Copernicus for heaven's sake.

Having a patent in a third-world country like Turkey isn't impressive. They're the only "industrialized" country on the planet that has lower rates of belief in evolution than the US.

The first page of google results about Yidiz are all from "free energy" blogs and websites. Not a single credible source has reported on him. This is because it's bullshit and a waste of time
>>
>>53353292
That's not NOT prepetual motion. What will end up happening is the sun will die and water won't be able do cycles any more.
>>
hey guys hear me out

why don't we just

hear me out guys

why don't we use earth's rotation as energy

huh??
>>
>>53356236
Theoretically possible, but it would slow down the rotation of the earth if you did manage to extract energy from it.
>>
We should just invent magic. It seems a lot more convenient than some of these contraptions
>>
>>53353882
Because they're infallible, that's why.
>>
>>53356236
we do, it reduces the effective gravity on the planet by 0.3% of a G
>>
>>53353882
The secret to science is massive piles of evidence.
Imagine a pair of old fashioned scales, on one side is the weight of the entire universe, and on the other is some contraptions built by people who don't understand thermodynamics.

If you find a way to break thermodynamics, you will unleash the apocalypse.
People thought thermodynamics was dead when radiation was discovered but those shitlords were wrong too.
>>
Whenever I want to distract myself from something I'm pissed about, I watch bullshit perpetual energy videos on YouTube, pause at the exact moment they're exerting energy on the system, and yell my head off.

Works like a charm
