If they don't provide a checksum, don't download it. If the only one they provide a hash for is the source, you're going to be fucking compiling. If the hashes are compromised, you're fucked. There should be a mirror that also has checksums.
I really doubt that any of you will ever be that careful, though. Not even loonix package maintainers verify checksums across several mirrors before packaging something.
