This. For Dolphin it's great, since that only uses two cores max. PCSX2 can use three, but that's generally less demanding anyway due to its hacky nature, versus Dolphin's accurate emulation approach.

Just load the fucker up with L1/L2 and ditch shit like AES-NI and other unnecessary command sets if you have to.
They could make a beast of a chip for budget gaming setups and just scale it up to six cores for the mid-high end of the market.

I'm running an X3440 myself, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this.
I just wish there was more support for Xeons in consumer boards, I had to make sure the Intel board I bought supported mine.
If AMD is smart they'll have a Zen SKU without integrated graphics and just a fuckload of cores and cache. Considering their new wraith cooler I guarantee people would snap that shit up, I know I would.

Rumour is they made a 32 core Opteron chip out of Zen. Apparently from an engineering standpoint and based on what we know about the consumer Zen parts, there's no reason it can't be done. It's far more cores than any average user could ever need, though.
