Should have upgraded when you got it.

what
>no SD card
This one is legit but I was well aware of it before buying, faggot.

Been mirin the zenfone 2, it seems x86 can beat arm in its own game and you can run pretty much anything on it.
>>
>>53329356
fuckoff consumercuck
>>
>>53329339
no
Here is what you're getting:
You're most likely shittier AMOLED screen with garbage outside viewing and colors
>inb4 muh ppi and rezolushiun

Larger on paper specs that mean close to nothing since the N5 performs fine

A better camera, not really a big deal to most people since the N5's pictures are good enough

A "larger" battery that is non removable and proportional to the screen size bump

There is very little incentive to upgrade, especially if you're paying market price for something like the 6P
>>
>>53329356
>android doesn't even let you write to sd cards anymore
rip
>>
>>53329339
Nope. Mine is still doing great its job.

Only complaint: battery life, but as long as I have a portable charger with me, I have no issue with that.

No microSD? Never been a huge problem, I have a dedicated device for my music.
>>
>>53329339
nope, keep it
it still gets android updates
>>
>>53329339
Only reason for upgrade is battery life. If you can still manage with it, wait until you can't.
>>
>>53330740
I recently replaced my N5 battery. I suggest other people look into doing this if you got one near release.

I'm considering upgrading my N5 anyway though. It's getting pretty beat up. Screen is still scratch free but the casing itself is not doing too well. Sometimes the seam will pop open at a corner if I drop it.

Would matter not if the N5 had a removable battery. You'd need a fucking bandolier of them to get thru the day
>>
>>53329339
get a G4 for no money
>>

>>

you mean the back cover? happens all the time. just pop it back in. had it since release and the oleophobic screen coating wore off a while back. had to use a glass protector since. should probably change the battery, but it still gets through a day fine.
>>
Waiting for the Next Nexus to replace it. The 5X is nice but not worth the upgrade.
>>
>>53330799
Might end up doing this at one point. Have you heard about putting higher capacity LG manufactured batteries into the N5?
>>
>>53330879
>muh micro sd card
For what? Who consumes media on their traffic device anyway?
>>
>>53329761
Wait what?
>>
>>53330849
1.5 cycles gets me through the day at full brightness. Bought the phone on release date
>>53330982
even the 6P isn't worth the upgrade honestly
The screen is really a downgrade being amoled.
>>
>>53329339
I don't see any reason at all to switch from mine, so no. It does everything I need just fine and will probably continue to do so for a long time.
>>
>>53330982
I upgraded to a 5x from a 5
camera is a lot better and the battery is a decent bit better but other than that they're practically identical
the fingerprint scanner is actually really nice though. I didn't think I would even use it but it's fast as h*ck and really convenient
>>
>>53330849
I wonder what people do with their phones that they don't even last a day. I get home with at least 60% on my N5. All I need it for on an average day is a few calls/texts, very little if any web browsing and 20-30min of streaming music on the way home from work.

Do you spend half of your time on your phone or some shit?
>>
>>53331404
Because I don't like being cucked to death. My music FLAC library alone is 50GB. I NEED that microsd slot. Yes I like to listen to music on the go, sue me.
>>
>>53329339
I'm still using the m7 which was released half year before the nexus it werks fine gui is still fast. Will probably upgrade in a year
>>53331525
Which one do you use?
>>
>>53331525
>not using a good pmp for a large music collection
Rockboxed clip with 128gb SD is great. Listening to music on my phone is really cumbersome. I rather not have my phone hooked to anything
>>
>>53331525
Not that guy, but I solved that problem by transcoding to "good enough" Vorbis, this way I get my entire library on my phone at all times and let's be honest here, phones and mobile audio shit isn't exactly top-tier HiFi anyway, you don't need FLAC to listen to music on the go.
>>
>>53331550
UHS-I 128GB Samsung Evo on my Oneplus X. Got it for $35 bucks on too, hehe.
>>
Nexus 4 user here, last of a dying breed. Will use until it dies...which may be soon.
>>
>>53331561
Come on why would anyone with aesthetic taste use that plastic toy
>>
>>53331596
sorry, you must be on the wrong board
try >>>/fa/
>>
>>53329339
Memory card and battery life were the reason I upgraded.
But other than that even downclocked to 1.9ghz it was still smooth as a babbys bottom
>>
>>53329339
Upgraded the battery on mine and it runs perfectly. Meanwhile my sister's brand new Galaxy S6 stutters out of the box, which is sad

>sound quality on phones is already less than perfect
>better make it worse with an audio transcode
>>
>>53331730
>implying you can tell the difference
So tell me, with what accuracy can you identify a FLAC from a good Vorbis encode in a blind test?
>>
>>53329761
It does when the application is written properly on 5.x. Dunno about 6.x. Theres also apps to fix this in general. FX has this feature.
>>
>>53331512
SOT?
>>
>>53331730
Using FLAC on a mobile phone is crazy retarded. When you're on the go, you can't even get proper ambient silence to hear the subtle details.
>>
I have a Nexus 5 lying around cuz I was on Sprint and switched to Verizon. Had to get a 6P. What can I do with my Nexus 5 now?
>>
>>53329339
Still rocking the Nexus 4
Works just fine for me
>>
>>53332660
Get a $5 OBD2 bluetooth adapter, hook it up to your phone, and use it as a HUD for your car
>>
>>53330849
The lg g2 is what the N5 was supposed to be.
>>
>>53331512
This.

I simply don't understand how people manage to use their phones for so much outside of regular communication. Like are they playing games 3 hours a day?

Not even considering an upgrade at this point, all I know is my next phone will also be a phablet, this is comfy as fuck even with my tiny bitch hands
>>
>>53333153

Is 5 hours of Facebook a day considered regular communication? Because that's what to takes for my mom to kill her N5

5h SoT on a Nexus 5 sounds pretty impossible, or did you mean a Note 5?
>>
>>53333057
Wouldn't I need cell service for navigation? Or is it just acting as a screen?
>>
>>53333231
Nexus 5. I replaced the old battery with a new one, did a clean reset, and upgraded to Marshmallow
She probably uses a dinky chinese battery back to give her an extra 20-25%

But at that point why don't people just use tablets or computers?

>>53333253
You can save offline maps on Google Maps now, or just hook it up to your phone for internet VIA wifi or bluetooth
