How on earth can I stop

>background intelligent transfer service

from windows fuckin 10 permanently ?

I go into services and stop it and then disable it in properties but this shit face service starts up and eats my data. Can't set my 3G USB dongle as metered, so how on earth do I stop this shit service? Anybody on the same boat as me?

You don't want to stop the background intelligent transfer service because if you actually could then you literally couldn't send any data over your network.
>>
REMOVE WINDOWS 10!

Kek, sole reason I removed winblows 10. Kill yourself o.p or get yourself a copy of Ububtu
>>
>>53323341
Gentoo is better.
>>
>>53323325
Actually, Background.... BITs is used only for winblows updates and torrenting on it's network. As op stated you can stop it, which he did, but he just isn't able to do so permanently.
>>
>>53323351
Op's a noob, still battling winblows
>>
>>53323365
>BITs is used only for winblows updates and torrenting on it's network
Have you every actually used BITS? It's used for a whole lot more than that...
>>
>>53323288
don't use win10 home premium
>>
>>53323390
Doesn't matter, you can disable BITS and still brows on your browser

>>
>>53323400
I am on Enterprise edition
>>
>>53323459
see if that shit is in group policy then
and while you're at it block every single MS IP
and don't forget to block HTTP with port 80 as an exception
>>
>>53323459
Why are you pirating your OS? Why not just use W7 or W8.1?
>>
>>53323569
It's genuine, my Win 8.1 was enterprise too, hence win 10 also!
>>
>>53323475
Elaborate
>>
>>53323721
How'd you afford Enterprise when it costs like a million dollars?
>>
>>53323732
Came preloaded.
>>
>>53323761
That still means you paid for it
>>
>>53323729
Peerblock
If that's not enough, firewall on router
>>
>>53323845
>That still means you paid for it

Which means it's genuine, you were the one that was insinuating that my copy of windows 10 was pirated, I never said I didn't pay for it!
>>
>>53323935
No router, USB modem! Can set wifi networks as metered connection and that be the end of my worries, but not 3G modem USB modem
>>
>>53323975
block it via firewall on your computer itself then, set rules to not let it send or accept any data and see if it still eats your shit
>>
>>53324014
How do I find what BiTs is called in the firewall?
>>
>>53323955
But then I asked you how you were able to afford it when Enterprise costs millions of dollars, even if you get it OEM
>>
>>53324014
I doubt he can block a Windows service in a firewall unless he knows what port it uses.
>>
>>53324465
It's probably a work laptop from his company.
>>
>>53324513
So is this the future now? We need to all get enterprise OSes from our job just like health insurance because if we don't have that we're not allowed privacy?
>>
>>53324513
Yes... It's a work horse from the company.
>>
>>53324644
Go chat up your sysadmin in your company then.

>We need to all get enterprise OSes from our job
>job
we don't need no stinking jobs
>>
>>53324698
To pay for a PC like that you need a job
>>
>>53324689

I get to bring the laptop home, in home my internet connection relies on my dongle, at work it's company wifi, so updates or whatever windows does is not my problem there.
>>
>>53324714
or you could have a portfolio of stocks, let the money do the work for you

but we're talking about the OS, not the computer parts
>>
>>53324770
You can't ask someone more knowledgeable at your workplace about this quirk? Or you mean they won't bother helping you?
>>
>>53324783
You need to have a job to get money to put into stocks or you need to be a trust fund baby
>>
>>53323288
That thing has been there since vista. Its not the botnet.
>>
>>53324830
I'm surprised you forgot this one: neetbux
>>
>>53324841
It isn't, he just doesn't want the OS to update constantly.

>>53324852
Can't build that level of PC on that if you still want to eat.
>>
>>53324863
it's possible if you scrimp and save
you never been to build threads where the neet suddenly acquires a fistful of cash
