Why do Winfags want their system to look and function similarly to Linux so badly? Why won't they just install Linux and learn their way around the shell in a proper Unix-like environment where it's actually useful? It seems to me like going out of their way to get these poorly implemented imitations working is a bit silly and somewhat counterproductive.
