If it's not backwards compatible with AM3+ I probably won't buy a zen. My 8350 is comfy with a slight OC to 4.0ghz. Most gamers don't need more than 4.0ghz at 1080p. I'd sooner upgrade GPU. I'm hoping that once pascal and polaris come out i can grab a gtx 980 for like $325 on black friday.
