where were you when no more piracy?

Don't worry the chinks love to steal more than anyone else, I'm sure we'll get blu-ray rips from them or korea.

'piracy dead' lol ok
>>53210603
>what is HDCP
>For many years AnyDVD (HD) has been the go-to tool to crack Blu-Ray encryption, pretty much without competition.
I refuse to believe it. I absolutely refuse to believe that there are no group in the world who can recreate a single product.
The world is too full of smart people for this to be real.
>>53210623
>I don't know that HDCP was bypassed
>>53212250
>being blind
>not seeing the difference between screen captures and actual rips
Isn't there a bunch of other decryption software? One is dead, another will simply take its place.
>>53210521
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>53210521
hopefully this will encourage peepole to stop supporting heeb-ray (thanks anon) discs riddled with digital restrictions
>>53210521
Huh, first I'd heard. I bought a lifetime license in 2010 or so. Guess I got my moneys worth. They should release the source.
>>53210623
You so dumb, we talkin about DVDs here, not Static and Dynamic IP addresses. You dumb
>>53213391
he said HDCP, not DHCP, silly boy

What about dvdfab?
UHD Bluray supports 10bit, HDR, and 60fps video.
This sucks pham..
>>53210521
>using proprietary dvd ripping software
>too dumb to learn other ways
if you can decode it, you can rip it.

Hollywood doesn't really make very many movies worth owning or pirating. I used to collect DVDs (and CDs) in the 1990s. What a stupid person I was for that.

This

I wish.

Shame on you
>>53213895
i'm not familiar with dyslexics
>>53213544
wew lad
or just use something like MakeMKV. Shit just works.
I don't really give a shit if you won't be able to pirate 4K Blu-Ray releases. I buy all my shit anyway. 100$ says somebody finds a way around it. They always do.

>Win32/Blacked
>Blacked
>>53214197
I think slysoft will come back under a new name and release a tool similar to anydvd as soon as the first ultra hd blu rays are released.
>>53212203
They didn't have to since they had AnyDVD, pretty sure now there's gonna be a competitor
>>53213304
This. I rip DVDs. I'll sacrifice HD for the ability to watch my media how I want. I usually only watch the shit in a window in the corner of the screen while working anyway.
>>53210623
You can bypass HDCP with a $20 splitter you retard.
>>53219637
dvd's use content encryption as well, just weaker encryption (CSS)
there's no difference between ripping a dvd and ripping a bluray, both bypass content protection
>>53213304
>heeb-ray
>not jew-ray
>>53210521
AnyDVD was a good piece of software.
But they're overreacting since every release group will just go out and buy a fucking splitter to remove HDCP and then just encode with a capture card
There's money to be made so some other company will fill the void.
>>53210623
Something I wish we had back in the kazaa days
:^)
If they shut down why wouldn't they publish the source?
>>53222154
well the crypto in vanilla DVDs was/is 40-bit, because US export restrictions were still in place when it was designed. Even if it was used in a perfectly secure manner (which it isn't), 2^40 is a brute-forceable problem in this day and age. AACS is 128-bit, that you have to find an implementation flaw to get in.
They're both protected, it's just that one is protected so laughably poorly that it might as well not be
>>53222349
HDCP (all variants and iterations) is already broken.
>>53224450
AACS uses 128bit keys and AES. (plus a key revocation system)
>>53210623
Dear nigger: you can bypass virtually EVERY method of HDCP in existence because the input jacks on televisions send a/v to an intermittent frequency circuit that operates @ 12-18mhz that can be fully captured by an oscilloscope and re-dislpayed on yet again, anything in existence.
there is no way, at all, to ever 'lock out' an input jack to the main display element.
DCMA BTFO ; next time try to encrypt the actual pixels ; fucking lel'd
The biggest flaw with AnyDVD was that it was proprietary software.
If it had been Free Software, it would be pretty much impossible to kill. Someone would always maintain it.
The cracking engine should've been separated from the rest of the program like libdvdcss.
Hopefully the death of Slysoft means that someone might start working on libaacs and the associated keys. I'd love to see a Blu-Ray equivelant to dvdbackup+libdvdcss.
>>53224716
I'd donate to that kind of effort.
Maybe if the pirate groups had PAID for anyDVD they wouldn't have gone under
>>53224770
>making software for a target audience of pirates
>expecting it to sell well
also, it wasn't even a lack of sales that killed it, it was constant legal pressure for years
>>53224758
same here tbdesu
>>53210623
Hdcp applies to hdmi, not screen capture.
>>53224836
>>53224758
why don't you setup a bitcoin bounty then
>>53224864
Literally how?
>>53224716

Some people in the comment section are hopeful something like what you described might happen.

DvdFab still works.
>>53225613
so does makemkv

It will be very annoying to pirate 4k blu rays if they are around 100gb each. I pirate a lot of 50gb blu ray discs but 100gb might be too much to store a single movie.
I would rather buy it (if it's under $20).
Anyone else has a big mixed collection of purchased blu rays and pirated BDMVs?
>>53225802
>It will be very annoying to pirate 4k blu rays if they are around 100gb each.
That might be true right now, but I think that will change over the next few years.
5-6 years ago not many folks were downloading 1GB+ movies...at least nobody I knew.
GBs will soon seem like MBs.
