I bought mine for £675 a couple of years ago and see no reason to upgrade.
I don't care about Mac or Windows (have Windows on desktop) but couldn't find a single windows laptop in the same pricerange that wasn't an ugly piece of crap or had a crap trackpad.
1440x900 screen is slightly disappointing but as a package it's a great laptop.
I have one from mid 2012 and I really can't be happier with it
I'm doing an engineering major and I can run every program without a sweat, even solidworks and catia on a vm

I found a dell with the same specs and for $50 cheaper which had a 920 nivida card in it. This was 3 months after though. It also had a 15.6inch screen. It is still cheap for the ram/cpu.
