I bought my mom a dell xps 13 and the trackpad is maybe 80% compared to the macbook. it's really smooth and precise and its made of different material the palm rest is made out of

I have both a Macbook and the Surface Pro 4, the trackpads on these are almost identical in terms of response time and accuracy.
Shit like dictionary lookup and expose are still missing, but you don't need those crutch features on a real OS like Windows anyway.

Dell Vostro 3300's trackpad.
The trackpad on my 2013 macbook air is the only trackpad I have even found even slightly usable. It's still a trackpad so it still sucks but it's MILES better than anything I've had or even seen on a PC laptop.

Cant name a better one but I find one just as good. The Chromebook pixel trackpad.
I only have a cheap Chromebook with a plastic trackpad but it's nicer to use than my more expensive Windows laptop. The integrated gestures with the chrome browser are one of my favorite things about chrome OS.

Honorable mention possibly goes to Dell. I just ordered their Chromebook 13 after reading reviews that said the Toshiba had a flimsy lid (which made me think back to my C720 with a broken display). The icing on the cake is the glass trackpad. I've heard it's almost as good as a Mac's.
