It's an amazing phone desu. Only thing I see wrong with it is the screen isn't 1440p and it only has 2GB of RAM.

I'd had S5 for some time. Amazing piece of phone except I couldn't handle it for real. Plus, I prefer iOS because it's more predictable and reliable.

It's definitely a good phone, cheaper than S7 and really not noticeably worse so get it if you are a bit strapped for cash.

After two years usage, stil got 1.5 day battery life with above normal use, marshmellow update, never hanged or laged ever.

Depends on what you considered dated. Unless you have something broken or so, I'd really not fork out any money to change it for a newer thing like S7 or a competitor. Imho it's not worth it, S5 is still a thing, TouchWiz still lags, cameras aren't much better etc.

Pretty good, using one now. I get up to 8 hours SoT on CM13. Also fingerprint scanner for this was just open sourced by some XDA user and CM should be implementing it into official nightlies soon. 2gb of ram is probably the only downside for use, but its not that noticeable unless you're playing games. Cameras are nice in good light, but suck ass in low light, and get a case for it because the plastic metal looking lining gets scratched up and bent easily. Also flashing ROMs can cause the phone to overheat. Only happened to me once when I first flashed CM12, all other time it gets warm.

You're fucking retarded. I have the Mini version of the S5 and it runs GTA SA flawless. And I'm sure it has less ram than the usual S5.

Two problems I've experienced:
1) Battery life is rubbish if you don't mess with some settings, app perms etc.
2) Fingerprint sensor is really pedantic

You know I hated my S5 a few months after I got it, but I ended up dropping a dumbell on the screen and broke it. Went back to my infuriating piece of of shit S3 and was contemplating buying an iPhone 5s on swappa.
Just this week I manned up and replaced the screen and digitizer in my S5 myself, updated to Android 5.0, and downloaded gud apps. This thing is snappy as fuck now and looks 10x better than any iphone. I honestly like it for once.
