Holy shit freetards. Those Laptops were cheaper than the Windows counterparts, but people still rather payed more for Windows. People literally say: Linux, not even for free. This is the final nail in the coffin.
I have an Inspiron I bought from when they did that. I bought it thinking it would be the same quality as their business market Latitiude machines, but it turned out to be cheap plasticky Wal-Mart shit with a horrible LCD display. It was like one of three models they had available at the time.
Shit hardware is shit hardware regardless of the OS and it's not any wonder they didn't sell. Trying to market them as budget machines to non-technical users who don't care about specs shows they had no idea what they were doing.

I knew Dell sold linux laptops but then again I'll never recommend this brand to friends.
