Paper and pencil or memory.
>>
I use my brain like every normal human bean should.

>inb4 m-muh whateverthefuck number passwords or autistic encryptions and pointless trash
>>
>>52973320
I store them in the digits of pi.

pic related.
database synced with dropbox (yes, really). keyfile only local saved and as backup on an old usb stick which is laying in a drawer

I use LastPass, but any password manager is preferable to not using one. Whether that means you want to use another piece of software like KeePass/KeePass X, Dashlane, 1Password, or whatever. You should be using one if you're not already.

>>52973386
>I only use a few passwords over and over again, or I have some easily guessable and repeatable pattern
Go kill yourself you fag lord.
>>
>>52973373
This desu, I don't understand how someone can trust any stuff like those softs..
>>
>>52973386
You are either don't have many passwords or you use the same for every site
If it's the first I don't care about your opinion if it's the second you are retarded
>>
>>52973373

>>
All in memory. My passwords die with me.
>>
>>52973433
>>52973435
I use different passwords for each website, you are the ones that should consider suicide because you literally gave your passwords away.
>>
Bash script, use 3 words for salting and website names gets hashed >md5>sha512>split according to character limit
I also have it add one special character one uppercase one lowercase and one number
>>
>>52973572
>I use different passwords for each website,
Then you have like 5 accounts. It's literally a fact that human brains are ill suited at remembering dozens of completely random passwords.

>you literally gave your passwords away
This is how dumb you are. Do us all a favor and off yourself.
>>
I find it hard to believe lastpass couldn't/wouldn't be pressured into adding a backdoor for government
is it open source?
and I don't mean parts of it I mean could I compile the addon and host it on my own server
>>
keepassx
>>
>>52973630
It handles encryption client-side, and JS addons are visible source by nature
>>
>>52973373
>>52973434

I use different password for each thing
"@Bc123"+"website first letter and last letter"+"my name"

>>
Lastpass, but looking to move over to KeePass. The extension is so handy though...
>>
>>52973320
I have like 3 passwords i use everywhere. I got them from the times i played tibia so they are just random numbers combined with random chars. Happened few times i logged in somewhere in front of stranger, they are not even able to memorize the password.
>>
>>52973828
Keepass isn't really that much safer or more "transparent", the clumsy usage is not worth it IMO
>>
I have 3 basic foundation passwords that i use depending on nature of the site/service and each get their own unique variation based on site name.
Example, runescape is classified as "fun" site so it gets foundation 1 (/3/binThing)
and gets it own change of 3rd letter making it N/3/binNthingN

some random word combinations in leetspeak. sad but true story. not the safest, but over average I guess.
>>
I keep a piece of paper with all (30-40) my passwords in my wallet.
So yeah, if I lose my wallet, my life is ruined.
>>
I use only three services that require a password

>my email
>a messenger application
>a password to a torrent tracker (not a private one)

I use the same password consisting of a single word across all of them.

I don't give a fuck
>>
>>52973386
It's cool if you trust websites to keep your passwords safe or you can actually hold in your head couple dozen password or if you just don't use that many websites/services.

If you can remember all your passwords, for all the services you use them for to authenticate yourself, your passwords seriously lack entropy.

>>52973790
>>52973859
Poor entropy makes cryptanalysis easy.

Never reuse your passwords.

I just make it a bunch of random keys and then reset it when i want to log in again.

fuck entropy

most attacks happen because of phishing not because muh lack of entropy

I can't figure out how to get Keepass to fucking work on OS X.

Just use the same few passwords, what are you people like secret agents or something? Nobody cares about your accounts.

>>52973320
This new icon is horrible.
>>
>>52977669

i would even argue its bad from a security aspect, you can see the yellow or red icon much easier than this dot shit

also WHY THE FUCK DOES IT KEEP GIVING ME THE TOUR FOR 4.0 RATHER THAN LETTING ME SET IT AS DEFAULT

just use autotype already

keefox never really interested me.
