oh and a funny story about this dumb ass file host. you see how it just makes the download link the name of whatever folder you upload?

well, i uploaded "New Folder.zip" one day and the link was like "/NewFolder3432", so I got curious and typed in /NewFolder 3431.

Sure enough, it was the last guy to have uploaded NewFolder.zip's shit. Spent 30 minutes doing this. Mostly it was just a bunch of photos and stuff, but after about 20 or 30 downloads I came across a zip that some russian scammer had uploaded. It had about 2,000 credit card numbers and paypals in the various text files, with complete info- passwords, security question answers, home addresses, etc. Most were french folks, with paypal accounts tied to yahoo email addresses. I logged into one and it was a French government employee so I got spooked and didn't try to log in any more.

He had usernames and passwords for some kind of russian sites I couldn't understand, one was a credit card verifying service that charged money per validation, his account had credits and I burnt up some validating some of the cards I had found.

I found his ICQ handle in one of the files and ended up contacting him. I laughed at him for being fucking retarded.

I'm not much of a crook, though, and ended up deleting it without ever trying to card anything.

How many of you even use the stuff you put in the start page? Do the Google/wikipedia search forms even have real time suggestions as you type like they do on the actual website?

Really the only good thing about them is that they look nice and teach you basic web dev shit.

I just put links in that I actually use to my homepage.
Also, it's equally as fast when you set it to your new tab page. And as for Google searches, I just use the omnibar.

I have no idea what Imgur is doing on my most visited sites list. But the image is so pretty, I barely ever notice there's links there.

Extension is Humble New Tab Page from the Chrome store.

Why the fuck would you be using a framework for a single page? That's the real question.
>>
>>52927768
why not?
>>
>>52927839
It's a fucking waste. Just do it by hand.

Also,
>all bootstrap sites look the same
>>
>>52927851
>just do it by hand

frameworks were literally invented so people didn't have to do this anymore
>>
>>52927886
But why would you bloat up a single page with a framework? For a whole site, I fully understand (Although I'm not partial to Bootstrap in particular myself.) But a single page doesn't need to be using a framework.

Also, there are plenty of people who only ever user frameworks, and don't ever learn the deeper workings of websites. All too many web devs end up being ones where "if there isn't a tutorial/dribble/codepen/etc then it's too complicated.
>>
>>52927937
I don't think it's that much of an issue. Anon wanted cool dropdown buttons, bootstrap had them.

Did you want him to go out of his way to code and style his own?

Also, bloat isn't really an issue. The size is small and using a framework will generally make things more readable.
