Some versions of android fill up your ram quicker than others, which isn't a bad thing perse. Pulling up apps and other stuff from your ram is much faster than from slower local storage.

So far only Sony Xperia z5 premium has a 4k display, and it's only full 4k when playing videos and viewing images, the rest of the time it's full hd

Obviously Samsung is not going to drop amoled, because they built their entire strategy around having a competitive advantage other manufacturers don't have. Since they supply the technology to everyone else.
So they will stick with amoled, because most of the plebs are not educated enough to know about amoled issues and those who know tend to brush it away, saying they never saw it so all must be fine. Then they sell their phone after one year, to make sure they can still recover some of their money. That's the only scenario in which you don't lose money by getting a Samsung.
That's the reason why I decided to bite the bullet and get an HTC, even though I had to put up with the shitty camera. At least, I'm sure the screen won't die in just 2 years.
