Not that anon or OP.

What would be good for non AAA steam games? I got a desktop to play Fallout and other higher end games on (thanks to the guide you all made in the sticky). I just don't know shit or head from tails about laptops strangely.

OP here
cant believe the shit in here, my said macbook runs dota2 on medium settings and it doesnt even have dedicated graphics so imagine what a newer windows laptop with proper graphics could do?

and again im overseas living in a shoebox do you even know how big a desktop computer and peripherals are in size?

I'll ask /v/ since you guys hate games more than them
>>
>>52902153
If you want a laptop for gaymes, buy this

http://www.dell.com/uk/p/inspiron-15-7559-laptop/pd?oc=cn95710&model_id=inspiron-15-7559-laptop

The build quality is mediocre but the components are pretty good for the price. Anything weaker than this and you can forget playing recent games.

You don't realize Toyota probably has the biggest racing heritage out of every car company right, with being the biggest car company in the world and all.

My Toyota can fuck up your car.

I got a 6 years old Asus ROG with way worse specs than that, and I can still play ANYTHING on it. No, not above 720p, and most settings may have to stay on Low / Off, but still.

Why does it have to be a laptop? You could get a top of the line desktop for that price.
>>
>>52905367
>comparable desktop is same price to build (6700k/970/etc.)
>only advantage is marginally cooler temps and performance gains that are 5-10% at best
I own 2 desktops, both being worse than the laptop I posted. I own my own business and spend big chunks of time at the PC because I'm not a high volume company. I sell low volume for high profit and therefore have big amounts of downtime in which I play games and grabass with until a customer comes in.

One of them NEEDS to be replaced because it shits itself under load while gaming and trying to multitask, the other is working fine but still inferior in all categories.

So, that means I can do one of two things.
>buy laptop and use it at both home and work, plus be able to use it when on the road for business (something I cannot do at the moment).
>build all new PC that is equal or better, but still have one that is inferior and still have to deal with updating things twice, not having files on one that I have on the other or having to transfer them to USBs, not being able to take my work with me to jobsites or other places, etc.

For me, $1600 is a steal for what it is and it has very good reviews from multiple sources. I've already looked at getting a cheap laptop to do mobile things with, etc. that people usually suggest, but I really can't see this not being worth it even if I just dock it at my desk and hook up my peripherals.

Jesus fuck you're stupid.

I'm not going to quote all of your bullshit, but a 980m or whatever you had there is complete shit and will never perform even half as good as an equivalent desktop GPU.

Get a cheap chromebook, throw linux on in and enjoy it. Save up the rest of the money and buy a proper tower.
>>
>>52902359

Don't listen to him, he's a fucking autist like everybody on this fucking board, U processors are literally fine, especially since that laptop also has discrete graphics which is, of course, more important than the processor when it comes to gaming.

Literally you would get better advice from Reddit. /g/ is an absolute fucking joke. They will tell you to buy ThinkPads, they will tell you to shove fucking dragon dildoes up your fucking arse. Never, ever, ever take advice from this board, unless you want to become a friendless, paedophile NEET like the rest of these sorry sons of bitches.

There are benchmark sites to compare them.

The benchmark site really did exist
>>
>>52907765
On paper, the second one is better (more ram, more storage)
Intel is technically better, not sure about those processor specifically. Check out the link anon listed here >>52907777 to compare cpus between laptops you're looking at, and don't forget to check the graphics processor as well if you want to play any games on it.
