Why haven't you installed it yet /g/

Why haven't you installed it yet /g/
>>
>Based on Arch
fucking dropped
>>
>>52895617
I have. I even use their forums since the Arch forums state you aren't welcome if you use Antergos because you aren't actually using Arch
>>
>>52895630
but you see it actually is arch because it acts simply as an installer for the full arch system, including a preinstalled desktop and utilities
>>
>>52895617
Because somehow i have had more troubles trying to install Antegros, that i have had installing Arch.
>>
>>52895639
Not the other dude, but you're both correct. Although under the hood Antergos may be exactly like Arch, those who use the Arch forums tend to shun the distro away.
>>
why would i want to move from arch to antergos?
>>
>>52895617
Ive already installed arch, why would i use a women/childrens installer for it?
>>
>>52895699
for a more complete user experience
>>
>>52895699
There's no point for you to. The only difference is Arch removes the installation process. Considering you already have Arch installed, you really wouldn't benefit from the distro.

>>52895699

samefag

The only Arch distro I would use is Manjaro, and even then I wasn't impressed.

Try again.
>>
>>52895699
You don't. Antergos is for the people who can't install arch.
>>
I use funtoo. Fuck arch
>>
>>52895742
You can just edit that with Inspect Element.

Doesn't prove fucking shit

Why is arch so unpopular around here? I've used it before and really liked it, opinions on it?

master troll
>>
>>52895792
it's shit install antergos
>>
>>52895792
It's one of the most shilled distros on this board. You either love it and use it or send those overused memes about it
>>
>>52895695
It's in their main sticky that you aren't welcome on the forums if you use Antergos or Manjaro.
>>
>>52895825
Gentoo is the real meme

Anyone tried Archbang?
>>
>>52895617
I tried once, but the installer was a buggy pos and it never properly installed.
>>
>>52895938
Why not?
>>
>>52896269
because they only believe in 'the arch way', not allowed to make things easier
>>
>>52896269
Partially this >>52896312

And because they say Arch and Majaros aren't "true" Arch Linux.
>>
>>52895617
But, I have.

This

But I have. Can't get enough of it.

Your shilling, on the other hand, is getting kinda tiresome.

I have.

/thread

Why would you install a distribution that's broken right after you installed it?
>>
Jesus fuck, /g/ is so bad for anyone trying to get into Linux. You can't get a solid objective opinion here. Everyone in this board is an emotional pussy whose diaper needs pampering when someone mentions a distro they don't like. Please eradicate this board from existence.

>/g/ is so bad for anyone trying to get into Linux
Nobody forces anyone to look for help on /g/, fuck off. The only emotional pussy here is you.
>>
>>52900003
Try fucking back >>>/v/ faggot

>I install antergos minimal
>Screenfetch says im on arch
>fonts and time and everything set up for me
Couldnt be happier

I've installed real arch before but there was just too many annoying little problems
>>
>>52895617
I haven't installed it because every time I try it Cnchi goes bonkers and either fails to update itself or fails to detect working network or can't download shit from their repositories during installation or whatever.
It would be simpler for me to just install Arch should I want to.
>>
>>52900003
>Jesus fuck, /g/ is so bad for anyone that tries to do anything.

FTFY
>>
What exactly is the point of these easy arch distros?
If you can't install arch then I'm assuming you're not very proficient with the cli. If that's the case then why bother with arch?
You wouldn't be able to maintain or use it well.
>>
>>52900191
Genuinely curious how you got screenfetch to say Arch. Did you do it by purposely altering the screenfetch command to give you the Arch logo?
>>
>>52901335
Nope, when I installed I selected xfce as my desktop enviroment but after it accepted and before it loaded the next page I clicked no desktop enviroment a.k.a minimal. It then installed without a desktop enviroment and with screenfetch saying arch
>>
>>52895617
Fucked that shit, it ruined my lifem install original arch or manjaro its shit
>>
>>52895699
>>52895707

Maybe you want to install it on a new device, without wasting another 3 hours?
>>
>>52895617
This distro is for retards. If you actually use it then you should be ashamed
>>
>>52901751
What if I've installed arch and gentoo but like antergos better?
>>
>>52902065
Not true. A real user who knows his shit knows perfectly that a manual install is much better than some random automated one.
>>
>>52903403
>not true
Ok my friend have a nice day
>>
>>52903403
A real user who knows his shit can simply judge that the automated install does the same steps as the manual one anyway, and spares valuable time.
>>
don't want to?

simple as that
>>
>>52901544
>needs more than 15 minutes for a second arch install
sub 90iq spoted
>>
>>52895617
Because Archetiect Linux exsists which is even more vanilla than antergos.
