deluge is best client atm imo, qBit had giantic problems with startup every 2 months

Im sure it doesnt have anything to do with qb
You just have a shitty os or setup or whatever
I had that happening to me several times when I accidentally unplug my power cord and every time the data and config where still there, only had to do force a verification on them as much
If yoy are going to shitpost at least you could have done just fine with some stalled meme instead

Why do you blame software for living in a shitty area with power outages?

Not even defending qbitmeme although you should reconsider if using old unpatched software is really a good idea.

I have a NAS running kodi hooked up to my TV, with transmission-daemon running. All devices on my network have a transmission client installed, connected to said daemon. I download a torrent file from any of them, it's added in transmission client which tells the daemon to download it. I turn on TV, and watch movies or listen to music straight from my NAS. Which also has mpd with icecast2 as an output, so all of my music is available to my mobile when I'm out of the house.

In the event of a power outage, my UPS activates, giving me time to properly turn the NAS off. This is what you should do. You could literally do this yourself with an old HDD and a $30 raspberry pi. (Mine is a dual p4 era Xeon hp pedestal server)

>The vulnerability relates to how BitTorrent and uTorrent handle URLs with the bittorrent or magnet protocol. By navigating the user to a specially formed link starting with bittorrent: or magnet:, an attacker can inject arbitrary command line parameters that will be passed to the BitTorrent or uTorrent executable. I'm not the previous poster but it's fairly well documented that qBittorrent stalls - sometimes because of user error, sometimes for no logical reason whatsoever. You can search for that issue with google/duckduckgo/whatever.

You may wanna take some of that unwarranted aggression elsewhere, perhaps try exercising.

rtorrent hasn't been updated in a million years and whenever I tried to add a ipv4 blacklist to it it wouldn't even find any peers or seeds, much less connect to them, while the same blocklist worked on qbit.

Still, qbit has its issues, mainly that the RSS updater bugs out sometimes after waking up from suspend.

I have about 600 torrents, and specifically a small group of my oldest ones say the files are missing. If I delete and re-add the torrent, it finds the files perfectly.

Like?

This is a serious question. I use qBittorrent and when I got home today one of my torrents was fucking stalled for no reason. When I restarted the program it started downloading again happily.
>>
>>52846371
Too barebones. Very few features, no labeling or category system.

Can't really fault it much because it does work pretty well and it's nice and clean, but it's just lacking some basic features.
>>
Last time I had OP's problem was two years ago.

It's an old bug where torrent status and labels would be lost if qbt was killed (e.g. task manager or power outage) instead of being properly Exited (File->Exit).

OP confirmed for old version.
>>
>>52844710
I'm just going to stick to rtorrent. Handles my 1Gbps connection very well, is perfectly stable for months at a time and overall hasn't had any serious issues at all, it was even very easy to move it to a completely different install without losing anything at all.

>>52846371
Call me when they've fixed the scheduler.

This is happening on current (3.3.3). At least it loses the labels for me every single time I have to close or restart.

But not for every torrent, just a handful.
>>
>>52846392
For a fix on this, just right click a torrent and force resume, download or seed it. Never fails for me.

Also you can use Tixati, Transmission or Deluge. All of them works well and they aren't vulnerable to the exploit from 2.2.1.

Wasn't working. I had to restart the program which meant relabeling half of my torrents.
Deluge and Transmission were missing features that I would use last time I checked but I have not tried Tixati. I'll give that a go.

I don't even use private trackers and therefore upload ratio doesn't matter to me. Even if I wanted to join a private tracker I couldn't get it, because I live in a third world country and my upload speed is only 100 kbps. Therefore, I see no reason why I shouldn't be using Qbittorrent.
>>
>>52845881
If you use private trackers switch to 2.0.4 and never look back, seriously

That just shows the sad state of alternative clients.
Deluge: GTK cancer, libtorrent instability
qBittorrent: Qt cancer, libtorrent instability
Transmission: GTK AND Qt cancer
Tixati: not even worth mentioning

So basically the first guy who copies the old µTorrent interface, makes a Windows native program, and makes it as stable as µTorrent will probably be able to catch a massive userbase.

It's like you hate efficiency.

>as efficient as autodl-irssi

Lol just stop embarrassing yourself, pleb.

Nobody uses RSS for private trackers anymore.
>>
>>52852355
I know there's some kind of plugin for rTorrent but I'm not aware of anything like that for Transmission (or other clients) so until I can have all my download needs built into the client itself, I'll stick with RSS thank you.
>>
>>52852444
Stay cucked, faggot. It works on every client if you have a brain.

Enjoy your shit automation.
>>
>>52852462
>Enjoy your shit automation.
autodl is just another way of doing it but the end result is still that my shows get automatically downloaded while I sleep.
What's the fucking problem here besides your obvious autism?
>>
>>52852500
That you cuck yourself with a shit client just because it has RSS when everybody else uses autodl which is the objectively best standard.

Now fuck off with your shit client.
>>
>>52852552
I use qBittorrent and I couldn't be happier, with or without RSS.
It just fucking werks™ and I've never experienced the stalled meme even once.
I did get the "client sent stop, peer not found" bullshit in Transmission regularly however, which is the reason I switched form Transmission to qBittorrent.

Transmission a shit. qBittorrent is great.
>>
>>52852578
Your client is a buggy meme, fag.

Transmission and rtorrent are objectively the best.

I bet you don't even use good private trackers, either.
>>
>>52852599
>Your client is a buggy meme, fag.
How come I've never experienced these "bugs" with it then but experienced several with your precious Transmission?

>I bet you don't even use good private trackers
Well what's good is highly subjective, but I've had pretty much everything.
My go-to ones nowadays are usually SCC and Waffles, but I used to use ScT, FTN, and OiNK the most.
Don't see how that is relevant to the discussion however, as Transmission is still shit regardless.
>>
>>52852684
>My go-to ones nowadays are usually SCC and Waffles

Yep. You use mediocre trackers. No wonder you use a mediocre method of automation.

That's sad. Bet your ratio isn't too good since qBittorrent is shit at seeding, too.
>>
>>52852816
What secret club trackers do you use then anon?
>>
>>52852846
What, PTP, BTN, HDBits, BiB, etc.

I mean you have to be a nigger if you don't have accounts on those trackers.
>>
>>52852816
And the only reason I use SCC is because it was the go-to refugee tracker when ScT closed down. Never really bothered getting into other trackers after that since the death of ScT, FTN, SweBits and a bunch of other trackers I were invested in (both with stats and community) kind of took the fun of torrenting away for me.

PTP or BTN are hardly what I'd call top tier. And my HDBits account got pruned for inactivity, that's how much I cared for that lousy tracker.

cause utorrent at least works as expected.
fell for the /g/ meme and installed deluge a while ago, woke up today to find a 18 gig torrent stuck at 40%.
keep in mind my connection is really shitty so when this kind of crap happens it really pisses me off.
had to finish the torrent with another client eventually, cause deluge just kept getting errors around 98% no matter what.

>>
>>52844710
I've used a few clients in my time. qBittorrent was a clusterfuck that would stall torrents all the time. Utorrent was fine but I got tired of having to disable ads every update. Ut 2.2.1 was fine until I read about the security holes, and it also had some strange behavior if trying to open many magnet links within a few seconds.

Azureus was fine until it became Vuze.

Tixati is my current client and it's working fine so far. I'm impressed with its configuration options, even though they are a bit cryptic sometimes.
>>
>>52852500
must be nice living in a place with low power cost. No way in hell I'd let my PC be turned on all the time, just so I can skip the 5-10min download wait time for a 1gb show.

I don't know what your problem is with qbittorrent. I literally seed in 8 hours with qb over 80gb and I never had a problem with previous torrents or previous qb versions. All worked flawlessly.
