>>
>>52707920
Are those hourglasses or speakers
>>
HAM operators are the final form.
>>
>>52711535
This, for fucks sake.
>>
>>52711581
There was time when amateur radio was a legitimate hobby.
HAMs pionieered a lot of technologies back in the day. And before widespread communication networks HAM radio was one of the few methods you could use to communicate with another human being.
A lot of them seem to be into ham rig ricing nowadays, though.

The people who do this are not necessarily rich, just obsessed. It's one thing if you wanted modern art, it's another if you think placebo cable junk is necessary.
Speakers are something that you can absolutely huge sums of money for, not so much cables or converters.

>>52711944
Inb4 anyone actually thinks he isn't exaggerating for effect.
>>
>>52711944
WTF was that? Funny as hell.

Complete with three coffins where you and your loved ones can rest during the day after a grueling night of stalking.

Nope.
>>
>>52711535
nah, that's like being into flightsims
>>
>>52711944
>listening to justin beiver
>>
>>52711535
There is literally nothing wrong with being a licensed radio operator. In any apocalypse scenario they would be key in the survival of any civilisation. Granted thats a weak argument
>>
>>52714992
>like being into flightsims
All the people I know who like flight sims fly actual planes.

>>52715033
They are useful in ways similar to the crazy survivalists?
>>
>>52715069
not everyone can fly planes desu
>>
>>52714638

dude I listened to a symphony on a system like that and it was legit better than a real symphony

i could hear the conductors hands moving through the air. every shoe squeak on the floor. the scratch of the bow its own character depending on the sort of horse it came from.

it was unreal
>>
>>52715080
my eyes hurt looking at this
>>
>>52715033
I guess. If you needed one, which you never will, youd be glad to have one. My dad was licensed and lots of times you would see peoples freqs on their license plates. Write it down and see if you can hail them and you have a pen pal. He used to chat with people in Australia all the time
>>
>>52707920
I think being audiophile is great only if you are a music producer.
>>
>>52715076
I don't know many people who do flight sims either.

>>52715088
>legit better than a real symphony
That might be called placebo.

>>52715136
Those people usually hate audiophiles or laugh their heads off at them for being placebophiles.
>>
>>52714638
I "know" an audiophile who is into idolshit and has a mechanical keyboard.
>>
>>52715208
idolshit?
>>
>>52707920
No, Videophiles are.
Imagine the autism of the OP picture but exerted into Video, imagine how much 'warmer' and 'forgiving' that old CRT was with its analog inputs.

Imagining someone lovingly rewinding a flyback transformer for a better picture that more faithfully reproduces their favourite sets of moving pictures.
>>
>>52715285
ok but it was warmer tho
>>
>>52715118
A friend of my father is licenced, he as a fucking complex setup running. If you are radios, this is your hobby.
>>
no OP just expensive
>>
>>52715237
You don't want to know.
>>
>>52711722
and if there is a disaster, they will be able to communicate when the Internet is down.
>>
All I know is that I need more classical music in my collection because pure music is much more enjoyable to listen to than shit with vocals in it.
>>
>>52715357
>if you are radios
>>
>>52715722
Wow, i meant to write if you like... Ignore my autism its almost 7am and im sleepless
>>
>>52715786
i shall abide thy then
>>
>>52715080

People who use non standard keyboard layouts are the highest for of autism, I think.
>>
>>52715521
Oh but I do.
