What phone does /g/ blindly recommend in the price range of 250-300 bucks?

I'm thinking of LG g3 or g4 but I'm completely clueless on the subject.

I have an LG G3.

ROM community is pretty solid, with numerous 6.0.1 builds out already.

The device does has a slight overheating problem, though this can be alleviated with a copper shim and some thermal paste.

The thin bezels make the 5.5" screen acceptable and not an overly large form factor.
