My old pc resolution has a monitor of 1440x900 and i5 650 cpu .
I wanna replace its gpu and psu.
Is a 750ti + a evga 500w good combo?

You're better off buying a 1080p monitor and a 750ti.

750ti is a meme card. You are not buying it for price/performance. You are buying it for nvidia logo.
If you want a good $100 card, look for used 7950 (almost equivalent to $200 gpu) for the best performance/cost. If you want a shiny new factor, a R9 270 would do good.

1080P is not 'gaming' anymore, it's just the standard resolution for any casual.

750ti is only fine if you don't look at competition. 750ti competes with 260X on performance. 270 will crush it since its a tier higher at same price point.
